I wonder if you can help me out. I'm in the process of installing an AEM water injection system into my Evo 8 260. The control box for the water injection has a built in MAP sensor that outputs 0 to 5 volts (.328v = 0psig, 5vdc = 38psig). Do you know if I can connect this to pin 73(MDP) in the ECU and log boost via MUT38? I assume I will need to work out a formula to convert voltage to PSI.

Yes - if the sensor is giving output max 5v then you can connect to that pin and log it. The formula - you need to interpolate - I did a quick calculation with your parameters (and assuming the output is linear) - the formula should be: 0.159481*x - 2.66781

 

yes John thats all u need todo.

best thing to do is log raw map (ie 1-255) with the car off. then work out the formula for your altitude. then as long as its a linear relationship you should be fine

Tephra: I can't speak for Jason, but I've been running your 5.1 96530006 ROM for a hair over a month now in my commuter/grocery-getter, and it's been working out wonderfully. I think the only real problems left to solve that are unique to this ROM are:

• getting the immobilizer working again
• getting direct boost control working

so whats the deal with the immob? if you have it enabled via bitmaps the car wont start?

 

+1, I am in the same boat. I could care less about the immobilizer, though

 

when i get time ill analyse the immob code... I am guessing its a pin difference or something silly

 

Anything figured out on the immob code? Not really a big deal, just curious.

 

Anyone find lean spool activate/deactivate for this rom yet?

 

Have you actually tried this ROM yet? I am thinking of switching soon..

 

leanspool enable/disable = 1680 and 1682

let me know if that looks "wrong"
