Limits/Stationary Rev Limit/

I tried changing this value from 5,500 RPM to 4,500 RPM.
Nothing happened.
Then I changed it to 2,000RPM so I didn't have to rev it so high to test it. Nohting changed.

It can't be the clutch switch as you still have to depress the pedal to start it.
Any Ideas?

This is the maximum RPM w/ the clutch pedal depressed, right, or am I interpreting this wrong?

Does it always go to 5500, or does it just go to the rev limiter?

I'm glad you asked that. It doesn't even stop at 5,500. I didn't take it as high as the rev limit which was never changed.

OK, something funky is going on. I reflashed my stock ROM to the ECU and it still doesn't work.

Do you have the ROM with the incorrect limiter definition?

There is something wrong with your top clutch switch. The two step doesnt work off the bottom switch. Do you have an alarm or turbo timer?

Clutch is in, not rolling.

I re-flashed the ECU with the stock ROM.

I do have a timer. I also think it's something mechanical. It doesn't make sense that the factory ROM would have the same problem.
I'm heading to the garage not to start trouble shooting.
I'll let you know what I find, FFR.

mate - look under the dash at the top of the clutch pedal.

1) make sure the switching is connected
2) make sure when the clutch is OUT the switch is pushed IN...

Found it!
I checked switch on the pedal and made sure it was functioning properly. It was.

There was a pin that was slightly popped out of the harness on the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) on the back side, top of the transmission. The odd part was that I never received a CEL.
Popped the pin in, now it works perfectly

Thanks to everybody that responded with the replies. The help is greatly appreciated.

Roger
