if you can connect to mitsulogger then use that logger. It can log all that you NEED to log.
I don't see why your tuner couldn't use that logger instead, at least until you figure out whats going on with your evoscan/computer

 

It sounds like it may be a cable problem. I had a cable go bad and it would log but I could not read from or write to the ECU. If there is someone else local to you with a cable you could borrow to rule it out that would be best, otherwise you could just order another one and hope for the best.

no! it doesn't sound like a bad cable problem. At least nothing obvious. When you were initializing EcuFlash, it was only try to read the port, not writing to it hence similar to the way EvoScan and Mitsulogger did.

 

Could still be the cable. Ecuflash isn't working but Mitsulogger seems to be. They use two different plugs on the cable to communicate to the car.

To the OP, do you have someone nearby with EvoScan that they can test that specific logger on the car with your cable?

 

My cable had a bad splice connection on the wire with the white plug and did something similar. Try redoing the splice just to make sure.

 

If you can log but not read/write that's a definite possibility.

 

Ok thanks guys. I think it might be the cable (white end maybe?) so my tuner is sending me another one (for free It should be here around the 23rd. Ill try to keep you guys posted

 

That would make sense. White one is for flashing, black one is for logging.

OH GREAT! Well, I don't know what to do now. ITS NOT THE CABLE. My tuner sent me a new one and that one gave the same error message. PLEASE DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEAS??? Could my car's electrial stuff be messed up somehow? Im really worried now because if its not the cable and I dont think its the software/computer then it must be the car.... HOW??

sorry, im just venting a little. I really need a tune.

xbs and i were working on my car. he mistakenly changed the initiation code. we used the ecu un-locker and changed the initiation code back to 001. works fine now. but we did uninstall everything and re-install it too.

 

initiation code??? i havent tried this.. can somebody explain to me what this is and how do I do it/ check mine??
