2005 Evo 8 ROM = 96540011. This can be converted to the EDM 05 ROM = 96530006.

I think the most common Evo8 rom is the 94170008 but everyone with the 0008 and 0014 roms upgrade to the 94170015 so I'd work on that one first. I love seeing new maps popping up. There are so many left that are undefined...yet useful for all of us.

hey mattjin, I am new to exploring the ECU BUT, I have a ix and woudl be willing to do some incar testing if needed. regarding the throttle hanging I changed some values in the ISCV table that EVO KID posted a while back. It seems to be a good bandaid/fix, but my idle sufers a little bit, so maybe this is the answer! let me know if you need help testing with an EVOIX

Sorry, read through things too quickly... got it looking much better now. Why do the temp(C) values still look so silly?

just had to change yours (or the scaling itself) to match... I changed your scaling call to "Percent (128)". Anyone know what these conditions are? I would guess some of the secondary conditions would be for turning on the AC fan, but I'm not sure.

I second this; I've upgraded from 008 to 94170015 and know of quite a few others who have as well. I figure this ROM ID would cover the single largest number of USDM Evos...

I think this is the fan map for 96940011:

Code:
<scaling name="Percent (128)" units="%" toexpr="x/1.28" frexpr="x*1.28" format="%.0f" min="0" max="100" inc="1" storagetype="uint8" endian="big"/>

	<table name="Thermo Fan Duty" category="Misc" address="3C16" type="3D" level="2" swapxy="true" scaling="Percent (128)">
	<table name="Conditions" type="Static X Axis" elements="9">
	<data>On1</data>
	<data>On2</data>
	<data>On3</data>
	<data>Off1</data>
	<data>Off2</data>
	<data>Off3</data>
	<data>A/C1</data>
	<data>A/C2</data>
	<data>A/C3</data>
	</table>
	<table name="Engine Temp" address="5dec" type="Y Axis" elements="12" scaling="Temp"/>
	</table>

Eric

Small typo there Eric. Scale address for Engine temp is 5dec, not 5ded. Close though. :-)

I would check things for 94170015 but I dont have the rom or def. Not much demand for it here in sunny Oz. I am sure some of you smart fellows will find it, but if not let me know.

This is great.....

I have the 9653006 Evo8 ROM, same as the AUS market. Would the above work on my ROM?

Thx.

Actually 96530006 was the only Evo8 I did before posting. Here it is:

<table name="Thermo Fan Duty" category="Misc" address="45ac" type="3D" level="2" swapxy="true" scaling="Percent">
<table name="Conditions" type="Static X Axis" elements="9">
<data>On1</data>
<data>On2</data>
<data>On3</data>
<data>Off1</data>
<data>Off2</data>
<data>Off3</data>
<data>A/C1</data>
<data>A/C2</data>
<data>A/C3</data>
</table>
<table name="Engine Temp" address="6a14" type="Y Axis" elements="12" scaling="Temp"/>
</table>
