Make sure the scaling is "Percent (128)" instead of "Percent" .......the reason I had issues.

Edited the post and fixed the EGR and Warmup tables. My mistake, I posted from a wrong XML where I was halfway through adding the tables. Doh!

Erase them and check the message post again for the corrections.

From my experience with most of the Evo's, this was the real purpose of the maps. The Warmup Retard Control map sets the temperature range during warmup to use the retard to help bring the cat converter up to operating temp to help with cold start emissions testing. Some models use alot more retard than others, and over different temperature ranges. If your car feels like crap to drive when it is cold, try zero-ing the warmup map and check it the next cold start and see if it feels alot better. Log before and after and check if the timing is repsonding. As my original post said, please test and report back if they work. They may not. Each model from the 7 through to the 9 seems to have the same maps, just whether they use them or not we wont know until someone does some testing. Mr Fred said the Ignition Trim vs Engine Temp does not work on the 9, but the same map works on my vehicle (checked it again yesterday morning). Which is why we need to test and label each of the maps.

The EGR maps are related to extra timing that is added while the EGR valve is activated. This happens at slightly different temperatures for different models but usually only when above ~80C temps. Again, test and report back.

And yes, if there are any issues with the Percent scaling, double check it. Some of my defs already had the scaling, but most did not. The formula is the same with them all, just the name may differ. If you are confused, simply view it in UINT8 but 128 will mean 100%

I'm no hex guru, but it's amazing how similar 90550001 and 98640014 are. Every time I try an address for one, it works out for the other.

These work for 94170015...

<table name="Ignition Trim vs Air Temp" category="Timing" address="41b2" type="2D" level="2" scaling="Enrich">
<table name="Air Temp" address="6c24" type="Y Axis" elements="8" scaling="Temp"/>
</table>

<table name="Ignition Trim vs Engine Temp" category="Timing" address="41a4" type="2D" level="2" scaling="Enrich">
<table name="Engine Temp" address="6c24" type="Y Axis" elements="8" scaling="Temp"/>
</table>

still testing the rest...

Has anyone with the throttle hang issue tried using the Decel Fuel Cut Delay maps?

The older evo's had 4 maps, the newer ones seem to only have 2. The map adjusts how long after you lift off the throttle before the fuel is turned off and the revs start to drop. Lower numbers cut the fuel quicker. Some cars have very high numbers for certain conditions, whereas my own has smaller numbers and all maps the same. I tend to believe that part of getting the anti-lag system to work is having much longer periods in these maps along with the triggering of the warmup retard map and the output to the air valve control all on deceleration.

So if there were an effort to clean up the 94170015 / evo7base files would you say this table is good enough for inclusion? And does it replace another table that was mislabelled/poorly defined?

Jumperalex-

They dont replace any maps, they just werent defined in the first place. I am currently at around 260 total maps found in my 80700010 rom, with around 1/3rd I am yet to sort out. Most are common to all models though, so by the time it is done we should know every models maps.

These temp maps seem to be exactly the same in all Evo models from 7 through to 9. I am 99% on the Air Temp Load map. In all of the testing I have done it responds as the map says. No air temp correction until you exceed the load value in the map at the given RPM. The RPM scale is what I am a tiny bit unsure about. I need to have a little more time to do some higher rpm testing to be sure it is 100%. At low rpm it follows as the map says. The engine temp map appears to be active all of the time though.

The Thermo Fan Duty maps are in all roms. The only weird one was (of course) my own rom which ran 3 elements in the x axis rather than the 9 that are in everything else.

The Decel Fuel Cut maps are in all roms, just the number of delay maps seems to change. Some have 2 but most have 4.

The cranking enrichment maps seem to be common to all. There is an 11 element first pulse primer map that appear to be common, then there is the post primer enrichment and decay maps that they all have too, just the number is different in some of the evo 9's.

They all have the same looking EGR duty maps that are labelled as Knock Filters.

Mislabelled maps...

In almost all roms (not all - for some it is correct) there are warmup retard maps that are labelled as the anti-lag or boost enhancement maps. Same for the timing correction map that applies when the EGR control is activated.
