I've noticed when inputting "255" to turn off the closed loop control "Closed loop wideband on/off" the ecu is not in fact turning the closed loop afr control off. Am I correct in assuming the value of "1" is on and "255" off?

 

I had assumed 1 would be on and 0 would be off, but that doesn't seem to work either. If I want to turn it off I use the closed loop load table.

 

So I am now running the wideband in the front o2 location, and the stock o2 sensor is unplugged. I am getting the CEL for front o2 sensor heater circuit. I tried disabling FAA bit 14 which is the front o2 sensor heater circuit. But I am still getting the CEL for it.

Is there anyway to make changes to the rom to properly delete the stock front o2 sensor or am I going to have to attach resistors to the stock front o2 wiring?

BTW, the sensor acts MUCH faster in the front o2 location and even is more drivable, no more weird bucking at low speeds. I am not concerned about the longevity of the sensor in this location as I ran a wideband in the o2 housing in my DSM for quite some time with no issues.

Is it possible that changing MUT12 from 8409 to the new value will make afr safety stop working?
Looks like it does not read wideband from first testing this morning.

 

Looked in the code and it seemed that the old adress was still unused so no reason to change it.
So I edited the patch like this:
Changed ADC0A/Pin75 variable to 8408
Changed 36A36 from 890A to 8408 for the main sub WB RAM adress
And logged the Wideband at MUT12: 8409.

AFR safety now works. Wideband is logging.

 

can i switch the ram variables and use the front o2 input as the analog input for my wideband o2? would make switching from the stand a lone ecu extra easy.

 

I do not believe so because it's only a 1v input.. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

With restrictions, and again I could be wrong.. but I believe since the stock narrowband ( front ADC ) is a 1v sensor, then the input can only be 0-1v while a wideband is 0-5v.

 

rats it will work all the ecu inputs are 0-5v. you just have to change some variables in the ROM

 

Would you just swap the ram variables in the front and rear o2? Basically back to stock..
