help reading rom

ok the file that was posted as the right file is an xml file which ecuflash wont find. however when i open evoscan there is some .hex files in there that ecuflash will read so ive established what the problem is (need hex files instead of xml) now i need the 98600414 rom in a hex format can anyone help?

have you copied the 98640014.xml to the C:\Program files\OpenECU\EcuFlash\rommetadata\mitsubishi\evo directory?
You don't need to open or find any xml, thats automatic. just open your rom file (hex or bin). Or connect to ecu and read again.
It works for me with your posted files. I just had to rename them to oem.hex

yes i have tried this on my laptop it will now see the file when i click the open rom but when i click the file it says ecuflash can not recognize this rom image............ again i just cant figure out what ineed to do to be able to edit functions

when i open the C:\Program files\OpenECU\EcuFlash\rommetadata\mitsubishi\evo directory manually by typing it in the address bar there is a whole lot of files that are xml files however if i open ecflash and click open then look in Program files\OpenECU\EcuFlash\rommetadata\mitsubishi\evo there is nothing there???????

Another option is to copy the XML file to the correct folder. Then go out to your car and open EcuFlash and read the ROM from the ECU directly. Does this work? If so, then save the ROM to somewhere you will find again.

when i save this to my desktop i then extract it and all thats inside it is 1 file thats named 98640014 and my computer doesnt know what file type it is but does know that its 95.3 KB in size what do i do with this?????
