Definitely, but I think we're all still wondering when we might see a viable, public tuning option--or at least a realistic time-frame for it.

Not to get into it with anyone but I think asking for a time frame or expecting anything at all from someone putting their own time into open source tuning software is a bit much. These guys are doing this for whatever reason and from what I can see don't make squat for all their time and know-how. I think patience is the best thing in this case.

We've been informed that another ECU has been rendered useless today. I wouldn't plan on this coming to fruition anytime soon. Its too risky to be bricking ecu's at over $1000+ a piece and probably leaves room for legal repercussions from unhappy users with dead ECU's.

It's already been stated that because of the potential for bricked ECU's the program isnt being released by Colby.

Does the program work for most out there using it? Yes, absolutely, and it works fantastic.

But as any software developer knows you have to write a program as if it was being used by a complete idiot. Even when you think no one could possibly be that dumb, you still have to program a case into your code where someone does do something that dumb so that it doesnt break.

I think it's safe to say that's where the program is at in this point in time. It's being idiot-proofed so that when it is released the amount of problems is minimized.

Here we go with another smear campaign

Wouldn't have happened to be that leaked beta copy that you had been using would it?

There has been nothing leaked to us. We are working closely with the developers and code disassemblers on a daily basis as we have about 4-5 4b11t powered vehicles being tuned a week over here and can also test code on our own vehicles. Its nice to have a shop X to be able to run tests on for the developers before a product gets released. We are all for helping the community, however it must be a release of a safe product.

oh ok I read that post like it wasn't coming out. My friends and I are pretty good with code so if there was an issue and I was able to help I would be more than glad. I love that they do this for the love of it and not to make a $. Keep up the good work everyone involved.

I don't understand why you would say something like that when we both know where our copy came from.
