Approx 40whp, was stock except with drop-in filter that gains 20whp/15wtq by itself (before tune), stock boost pill as well.

Sounds about right. I'm guessing it was rated close to 300 HP on your mustang dyno?

270whp, which is about 15whp less on average compared to GSR's with some mods. (just drop in and stock boost pill)

Any reason why it's lacking behind the GSR?

Tuners in Japan are saying that there is about a 5% loss in power/torque with the SSTs. By looking at Bryan's figure, that sounds just about right.

So does this mean ECU Flash is ready to go for the X?
Under development not next to the 10 anymore.

The beta testers are wondering the same. The developer is going on vacation in February. Will he release it before or after he gets back???

Why would there be a power loss from an SST? It's a pure manual gearbox and the only difference is the electro-mechanical shifting system that operates the clutch and stick.

No torque converter, just clutch and gears.

My hopes are the program gets realesed before that holiday. Or at least a beta release to have some time to play with it and learn about the new car would be helpful.

From the service manuals, it appears to be hydraulic-mechanical controlled by electronic valves. Because of this, there is a pump driven by the engine to pressurize the fluids. How much power this pump takes is probably negligible, but the GSR doesn't use one so it naturally has some sort of advantage.
