Installing GM 3 Port Boost Solenoid

I am currently removing the OEM boost solenoid and replacing with the GM 3-port Boost Solenoid. i know there is a post (it is vague) about installing this but i need some further clarification.

coming off the MAF sensor wire there are 2 additional wire that clip into the previous OEM boost solenoid - one black and one gray.

which one do i splice the pigtail into?

Thanks in advance.

can't you just pull back the wires on stock solenoid plug and tap there? Order wont matter its just a switch.

The two wires for the GM bcs need to be connected to the original two bcs wiring. One wire (can be either of the two) needs to have the resistor wired in.

Yup two wires to the two wires for the OEM BCS. Doesn't matter polarity.

LOL

The GM 3port has 2 contacts. The GM pigtail has a weather pak connector with 2 gray wires coming off of it. You can hook the wires up either way as others have mentioned, polarity doesnt matter. Just make sure to plumb it so that it will go to wastegate pressure when the solenoid is not energized.

i know it cannot work with one wire otherwise i would have it on my car trying like an idiot

i understand what you guys are saying, and yes there are two wires out from the pigtail.

but there are also 2 clips that plugged into the OEM Boost Solenoid.

i am guessing i am supposed to plug one into the 3- port boost solenoid, and splice the other onto the pigtail (polarity does not matter?).

i am hope i am not missing anything, please confirm!

Thanks again

In the write up the guy stated that it didn't matter which wire connected to the other. He connected the wire with the resister to the wire with the red on it and then just connect the other two. I did the same and it works perfect. You are looking way too into this and confusing yourself and others.

my own looks like the one in the Original Post lol...

i think i am really looking into this too much and confusing everyone!!

to clear it up the pigtail has 2 wires! the harness running to the MAF, branches off into two clips with 2 wires each these connect to the OEM boost solenoid.......

damn this is confusing, i need to get some pics!
