You know... I had this same problem when I got tuned. I didnt think anything of it. A couple of months later... i tired to 2step again and it would only build 10 lbs. I thought something was wrong with the car when it stopped building 20lbs. I never did figure out what happened. Ive never been able to build anymore than 10-11lbs since then.

Right, but you said while 2 step, the boost builds to 20lbs according to your boost gauge and used to show 8-10psi. Nothing is wrong with the boost gauge so installing the map sensor to log the boost will do what?

In a situation like this, it will confirm what is going on. As I already said , mechanical boost gauges are not 100% accurate.

Sure they aren't, but they won't show a variance of 10-12 psi if nothing is wrong it.

Let me know if you need any help for the 3 bar map sensor..You know it's not something you can just install and have it work, right?

Fortunately for dsmhater, he is a former shop owner and has been tuning cars for several years. I am sure he knows this already.

Thanks Petey but I installed and logged the map sensor this past weekend.Boost is back to 10psi at 5500. Logged via ecu+. I am still not sure why or what made the 2 step spike the way it did , but its not doing it anymore.
