Selectable! Maybe?

To be able to select if feature is enable/disable and to have blinking CEL or boost drop or both.

I would personally like to drop boost only if AFR is out of range after a preset load.

Hrmm so something like (in TephraMOD options)

Flash CEL on knock?
Boost Drop on High Knock?
FastFlash CEL on AFR out of range?
Boost Drop on AFR out of range?

And then I will have a timer for the boost drop duration, ie 1 second, 5 seconds whatever... Otherwise you will bounce between boost drop and not...

Tephra, could you make the EGR at 100% at high knock or AFR out of range? Again, i'm not looking to make some uber complex request just wondering if it was easy to do.

Possibly stupid idea, but along the lines of this thread....

Have you thought about a feature to enable the knock lite to flash the knock count? Something like flash 1/2 times at rate, pause, then flash 3 times for a knock count of 3, 5 times for a knock count of 5, etc etc. Obviously this would be instead of the set amount of flash time...

Then for all other faults (IE lean condition here) you could flash for the flash time.

Also, I would be very conservative if using this feature (probably around the 13:1 that someone else suggested). I've noticed its not uncommon to have a .5 AFR or greater difference between the serial and analog outputs on my UEGO.

I don't know about you - but during the day its hard to see the CEL, so I might only see the tail end of it.

I think trying to pack any more info into the CEL will just cause confusion or misinformation.

Regarding the AFR range - it's all user definable.

Regarding the oil-pressure light. Unfortunately its not hooked up to the ECU. So no-go on making that flash

I don't know about you but there is no way I could keep track of CEL morse code on my dash. I can hardly keep track of slow and fast blinking. haha

Air bag light should go through the ECU as there is usually a sensor check routine on airbag components.

perhaps through the SRS ECU, but I dont *think* it hits the normal ECU...
