yeah I reckon...

so far the list of ROMID's that I will be doing are:

96530006
96260009
90550001
88570008
maybe 88580014
maybe 88590015
maybe 88840017

the 3 maybes are really if 88570008 can run them instead

anyways - I am hoping to hear back from some more testers on 96530006 V7T1...? anyone got any good+bad to report?

Hi Dave,

This morning I try this by coincidence on a 88580015 IX RS JDM.

I was curious if this Rom will work but the car did not start......as I figured

Two different maps I try to see what will happens....

Probably due to the immobilizer - did you disable it?

I did that mate nut with no result.

I miss something for sure but not the immobilizer code or how to flash it.

I hope one day we will use all of us the same rom-id witch can be developt by all the great beautiful minds around here.

And please take it like a compliment....

Tephra,

I had something weird happen today running on v6. I threw a P0181 code pulling out of my parking spot. That is for the Fuel Temperature Sensor. I am running a MAT air temperature. Does the V6 rom use mfreds sim for the fuel temp sensor?

For the new gear based boost control, is there still a boost adder table and is the gear based table limited to 24.6?

I ask this because I saw a screen shot of frostyou's boost maps and I thought he had 27.x in the table.

I have rescaled my ecuflash calcs to account for boost adder - absolute pressure. Direct boost control is still a mod separate from the tephra mods (as it should be since not everyone uses it). It just makes it easier for me to tune since sometimes I'm more forgetful than I'd like to be.

see here for more info (and a few posts down)

I really hope that 88590015 will exist :-)
Thanx Tephra, your work is amazing anyway!

OK a couple weird things, when I first start the car it idles like crazy high, around 2000 RPM. Tried this on the stock 9653 and it does the exact same thing so I don't think it v7 related. Then it settles down to where it should be. It then threw a code: P0505

I changed the idle and bumped it up, thinking it would not idle that low (stock settings) but it still throws a code: P0505

It still idles crazy high when cold no matter what I change, when warm it starts up and settles down no problem.

Changed all values back to stock and it still idles really high on cold start, but then settles down, but it still threw a code.

Any idea if it's related? No problem at all on my 9417 map....I switched back to make sure, no code, no idle problems at all.

The only other thing that I changed that might have something to do with this is the Cranking Enrichment IPW Adder (not the alternate, the factory one) the definition I use for this is:

Code:
    <table name="Cranking Enrichment IPW Adder (Main)" address="58d0" category="Fuel" type="2D" scaling="TimeInjCranking">
	<table name="Coolant Temperature" address="69d8" type="Y Axis" elements="9" scaling="Temp"/>
    </table>
Is that correct table for the stock Cranking IPW table?

P0505 should be fixed by setting your BISS. Use the Evoscan actuator, then set the BISS to your idle.

Can you explain this more. I know the BISS is that little screw in the throttle body, how to I use EVOScan?

On the bottom right side of Evoscan there is an actuators section. The last one in the list is 'Speed Adj. Screw mode'. If you activate that, it parks your ISC to a certain value (I forgot which value off the top of my head). Click activate and then unscrew your BISS until your car will idle at your desired RPM while activated.

Then, deactivate the 'Speed Adj Screw mode' actuator. Your idle will shoot up high when you do this and will take a bit to come down to normal as the ISC is slow in adjusting downwards (I just found this out the other day). But after so many minutes, your idle should be at the desired value and you won't get the P0505 because the ISC won't be at it's extreme to try to maintain your idle.

Note: The first time you activate the SAS mode, your car will most likely stumble and almost die. Get ready to start slowly unscrewing the BISS.

that def for cranking enrichment is good zach.

I hope someone updates the 96530006 def in ecuflash with the best/newest defs

Eric - right on with the BISS.

P0505 = idle motor having to work outside its normal operating parameters, ie base idle is incorrectly set...

Great! Thanks man, I will give it a shot tomorrow. Appreciate the help

I have found all the important tables needed (I think) so I can provide you with everything in an XML, that's if you want to incorporate anything with your V7 mods....
