Your ECU has been locked by a previous tuner - this is usually done by changing the "Init Code" field in the ECU map. Download the “ECU Unlocker” add-on from AktiveMatrix (www.aktivematrix.com). To download files you have to register, then go to the download section and look for “Mitsubishi ECU Unlocker 1.1 for ECUFlash”. When you download the file, it has no extension, but it is a compressed zip file. Add the extension and unzip it. The current version requires the Microsoft .Net framework v2.0 (or higher) which you can get from “Windows Update”. If everything works, you can double-click on the executable and a small window pops up telling you to leave the program running and startup ECUFlash. Now start ECUFlash and it should connect just fine.
