The only Red I've tuned has failed. Warranty inspection awaited. Lots of people reporting FP Green and now Red failures in the UK, not clear why it is happening, there are not the same number of stories about stock turbos and GT3x tuned by the same people in the same way. I thought it wouldn't happen especially since I didn't push it hard.
I liked how it drove except for the surge before 4000 RPM in high gears, which stopped me getting one for my own engine.

Trying to contact FP now about the concerns I've went ahead and purchased the upgraded oil line from them. I'll ask them to cancel if it this is not the issue.
I'm posting a log of an up hill run (on ramp) in 3rd gear to show how even a little timing can cause big knock lol! I did get some timing added back into the lower ranges as i expected but I'm slightly disappointed i couldn't add much more on the top end.
Still a work in progress btw for all those benchmark warriors out there.

The VIII's are able to run more timing than the IX's

Its all good despite the cars lack of timing its still making good power compared to stock. The lag is there but not really as dramatic as i was expecting
haha i was laughing no offense just because i prefer adding timing as opposed to boost on my VIII turbo and my car likes timing much more. 8* peak timing on 23 psi im at 15-16* peak timing at 18.5psi at redline. on same **** gas you have. and with absolutely no knock wat so ever. just spend some more time tuning that beast. im sure you'll get it fast as hell soon enough or just run some meth or join E85 crew im still debating since i picked up a IX turbo today haha
To the OP, it looks like the red is holding more boost up top than the stock turbo and that may causing 5-9 knock count starting from 6500. Maybe lower boost a little bit will help get rid of that in order for you to bump up some timings.
