nah my suspicion is that the ECU needs to be in debug/reflash mode (ie ground/voltage applied to pin8) for some advanced debugging/logging to be enabled...

Hamish, I believe you can buy one Colt/Airtek CAN ECU and sell it afterwards.
It should be somewhere around $100 and try it. I believe it would be a good investment
taking into account you could sell GPS logger/1.3U for X with small HW mod.

I have found one near me for even less, ~60€,
but I have no intention to create another cable and software. Maybe if I would be encouraged
by donation from guys here to buy the ECU I would try it myself, otherwise it would be only
costly intellectual exercise for me.

Yeah I would buy one if I could get one for that price, I also need the ETACs CAN controller, and any other ecu from that Colt/Airtrek CAN bus.

Search here for Eclipse 2006+ this is also CAN ECU
$75 is the lowest that I could find

Or we might ask guys to crawl their local salvage yards for this Eclipse to get you some CAN ECU to test on and see what would be the price for complete electrical equipment - anyone?

Your formula worked I cross checked it with PCMScan lb/min logs and they are identical.

I have added your formula to the xml file provided by mrfred

they should be identical - I reverse engineered the airflow variable from the PCMScan/OBD request PID.
