Those are awesome numbers with your setup man Please donate a datalog of your final pull on the dynojet if you can (plus the weight they enter into the dyno software)! I really need to get more DJ data to get a nice average. What weight are you 'guessing' with now?

I really wish it was easier to find an accurate place to weigh our cars other than race tracks and at the landfill's that weight your vehicles before/after you remove your trash lol.

Agree. I was even looking at corner scales and was going to buy one, but figured I would use it once and it would be a waste of money. Maybe we can get an EvoM donation going and ship the scale from person to person?

There is a CAT scale about 15 minutes from me that I was thinking about checking out. I think it's like $9, so maybe I'll give it a shot.

Or, I was even going to try the bathroom scale trick to see what I come up with.

All I know is that my car is heavy...I have an 05 SSL and have done no weight reduction...just weight addition really: bigger IC, CarPC, exhaust cutout with stock cat-back, etc. So, I know my car is a lot heavier than most.

lol, I was just trying to find your post about the bathroom scale trick. Would you mind re-posting it again? I may grab 2 analog scales for like $8 each and weight the front as a pair.

Last time i weighed my IX SSL it was 3550 with me and a laptop. Full weight, no reduction and a full tank of gas. I am 270 + 6-7lbs for lappy and cables = 3273

Thanks, Mr Turco. I was using my car weight as 3360 or so, based off of this thread and the post by warrtalon:

RS - 3219
IX - 3263
MR - 3285
IX w/SSL - 3338 (53 heavier than the MR, 75 heavier than the base IX, 119 heavier than the RS)
I have an VIII, not a IX, but if the SSL base is 3338, I would assume I have added about 20 lbs in weight with everything, so that's why I used 3360 (then add my weight). But, I want to know for sure. Based on your reading, the above weight seems to be off (a little heavy).

Here is the link to that post.

I may just try that to see how it comes out. I will do it for each corner. The picture says to multiply by 20 and that's your front-end, but multiply by 10 for each true corner weight. The only thing you have to make sure is that the tire being measured is as level as possible with the others and that your L/10 is as exact as possible.

When I change the simulator from evoM comparator to dyno jet I go from 419whp/397trq to 446whp/424trq? Why the drastic difference?
vdr3 shows me @ 420whp/402wtq on the dynojet

Hmm, it SHOULDN'T be. Just double check your tire diameter setting and make sure all of the other settings are correct, and the weather correction is disabled for now.

Maybe post up your log and tell me the specifics of your setup so i can check it over here.

Hmm, seems like the dynojet correction is off now that I changed everything around. Looks like I may need to make v5.5 lol. Gimme a few.

EDIT: yup, its supposed to be 1.078. That explains why the EVO-M Comaprator is slightly higher than DLL now. Knew I'd miss SOMETHING with all of the crazy changes I made,lol.

v5.5 updated with fixed values for Dynojet and the EVO-M comparator. Can be downloaded in the first post of this thread.

Thanks man.

lol, perfection is a long road....as they say.

Honestly, I think I got JUST about every possible bug out of this sucker now lol.

All I really need is more data from Dynojets and I'll be a little happier.

Evom mode V5.5
V5.5 = 411whp/390wtq
Dynojet :
V5.5 = 431whp/409wtq.

Evom mode V5.4
v5.4 = 419whp/399wtq

Dynojet v5.3:
V5.3 = 420whp/402wtq.

The only thing different from each version is "current correction factor" why is this changed with each version?

Because of the math formulas that were changed. The math makes the 1.000 correction different with the new ways I have it calculate the numbers as I increase the resolution of the program. v5.4 should have been the same as v5.5 but I obviously messed up. v5.3 just wasn't AS accurate as v5.5 is. The Dynojet numbers will more than likely change when I can acquire more dyno data from members. Evo-M comparator #'s are dead center between dynojet and mustang dyno's so thats why that changed as well. The Evo-M comparator will stay permanent from v5.5 and on, so people never have to update their comparator numbers anymore if they added them to their signature or whatever.

Using the dyno sim just reminds me to get off my *** and finally tune my car.

Anyway, I used it to see the difference with my cutout open\closed. With it closed, I am going through a hi-flow cat and the stock cat-back. With it open, it's just going straight out of the cut-out in the downpipe.

Back to back pulls within 30 seconds of each other showed +14trq/+23hp. Definitely a nice gain, but I still can't stand loud exhausts. So, I am going to try to extract the most I can out of the stock cat-back.

I finally have most little things fixed up now, so maybe I can start tuning and improve my weak numbers....just 307whp with the cutout open right now based off of the EvoM comparator setting in V5.5.
