map switch help

Hope someone can help

I installed the map switch in my car (from jack of trades)...but the map does not switch until about 30 minutes of driving. I have been searching on here and cant find an answer...

how I know this...was driving on the free way with map switch light on (alternate map) and after about 30 minutes or so, it switched to the alternate map.

I switched the map to off and it moved immediately back to the primary map (high octane). switched back to low octane...and no switch again for about 30 minutes.

One gentleman suggested

i had to change the alternate map load threshold lower to enable my alternate map on the fly faster...

But this is not working.

any suggestions?

What settings are you looking for?
This has been done as well; ADC0f input-->should recognize the intercooler pin.

This confused me. You found the totally separate Alternate fuel/ignition maps in the TephraMod section right? You're car isn't switching between the high octane and low octane maps when map switching, its switching between the standard fuel/ignition maps and the newly added maps in Tephra's MOD section. Just wanted to be sure.

First off to Tephra-->changed from 0 to 10ms and still did not work...

Hello Jamie,
Yes my mistake on that one. The tephra mod alt map is being used.

Any ideas...???

Have you searched on this forum or the wiki page on how to datalog which maps are active (alt maps or standard maps) and also datalog the input voltage at the ADC0F input to confirm its getting enough voltage? What voltage do you have the alt-map switching set to? Its 3.01 volts by default and should be well below the voltage of the harness. The harness supplies between 4.6-4.9 volts.

I have not done any data logging on which maps are active.

I have not checked the voltage of the adc0f input. I have not altered the voltage of the alt map switch.

guess I have homework then
