Has anyone here gotten their 1g working with A/C controlled via the ECU? Keydiver had posted long ago that the pin hookup should be:
evo 45 -> DSM #7
evo 8 -> dsm 65

He also mentioned that the factory A/C works by supplying 12 volts through the A/C switch to pin 7, and dependent on ECU control (temp, RPM) the ECU pulls 65 to ground.

I hooked my harness up with those two wires and for whatever reason my A/C switch doesn't even have power.

Can anyone help if they have gotten this to work?

Thanks for the reply. I'll have to double check everything. It's re-assuring that yours works. The fans will still come on with A/C even though they aren't hooked to the ECU too, I assume?

1g AC fan control isnt controlled by the ecu. You could wire it up to the EVO ecu.

Alright, I got the A/C stuff figured out, those were the correct pin outs.

Next question, what is everyone logging ECT with? I'm not so concerned that it is or isn't working, but I'm thinking if the ECU is seeing the wrong values then it's going to throw everything else off. My two fields in evo scan are:

07 - x*1.8+32
07 - -1.45*x+308

My coolant temps just at idle are showing up around 225* with the first one, even though fans may not be on. It's only about 50* here today and I have a huge aluminum radiator, and the fans DO come on eventually, so I'm pretty sure that isn't the correct temp.

Anybody logging anything different in evoscan?

Are you logging coolant temp SCALED?

Is that what I should be looking at? That looks more correct possibly. 1.8x-40, right?

Yes it is. Same with MAT you want the scaled valued for logging.

Yes, scaled coolant temp coincides with the coolant scaling in the ROM tables.

I know I'm going to need support from those that came before me in order for me to get this working.

The least I can do is leave something for those that come after me.
Has anyone tried this yet? A non-evo ecu (reg. lancer) in a 1g with success?

I looked in to this a while back. I believe there was only two pins that needed to be swapped between the lancer and evo ecu's (fuel temp or fuel pump relay cant remember for sure). No one could confirm BCS control using the lancer ecu, or a way to use another output as BCS since most lancer guys were running low boost. If someone wants to send me a lancer ecu ill be happy to toss it in and see.

From what I can gather, yes.
