I noticed the hex for the immobilizer was 0000 shoud it be 0040?
what can i log in evoscan that i can post to help figure this out. now i have a MAP sensor but i have searched and do not know how many bar it is. Here is images of both my MAF and My MAP sensor. I have a GM MAS and MAP sensor that I could go SD with, I just do not have a MAFT cable. So I would have to cut and solder my 2G plug for my MAS to connect if

not sure if it makes a difference but i have a 2003 ECU and the rom id is for a 2005, i dont see how that can affect it when it comes down to just 1 and 0's

what can i start with for troubleshooting to ensure my inj are being driven properly, like i said when i plug in the stck ecu it starts on the first crank

You need to change that to 0xFFFF (type that in and it will display as FFFF). 0000 and 0040 are incorrect. Turn all Tephra options to off also for the first start/troubleshooting. Also, FAA bit 3 needs to change from 1 to 0. Can't go wrong with the immobilizer if you do the above/now you can rule out other stuff. Good Luck.

If the immobilizer periphery is disabled, it's irrelevant what the immobile settings are.

I dont know if an Evo 6 or even an Evo 7 ECU are the same wiring plugs or wiring configuration but if you start a new thread in this section, you will get your answer very quickly.

Yeah I know, but he needs to move on lol. The rom you linked does have the immob periphery disabled--I checked later. Got it.

Those MAF settings are the ones I use in my mirage with a 2G MAF. I can post up my actual rom and you can edit the injector scaling if you want to try that? I just took a base tephra rom and copied over my MAF settings and edited the injector scaling for you. I would imagine it would start, even if it ran crappy.

Continuing on, leave the GM MAS out of the picture and continue with the the 2G unit. You need the translator if you wanted to run it anyways. As far as the MAP goes, it shouldn't create a no start condition even if it was unplugged.

ROM ID will not create a no-start issue either. What is there is fine.

As far as logs go, put the key in the ON position and and start logging a bunch of stuff while starting: TPS, RPM, Coolant Temp, Bat Level, Air Temp, Timing, IPW, IDC, Baro, Air Flow, Load, crank signal, etc.

Some queries may not give results until the motor turns on, but whatever. Its good to see what the ECU is doing. Post what you got. Your issue seems like its something simple or harness related/hopefully.

Good Luck.

Wouldn't using a GM MAS still be using a Mass Airflow sensor anyways? That isn't "SD" if there is a mass airflow sensor inline. True SD uses just the IAT and MAP sensor data. I dont even have a map sensor on my 1G so it wont stop it from running.

That makes sense. I wanted to get the MAF working first then begin to implement SD with Maft Pro. Or get the Omni 4 Bar sensor and the correct IAT sensor and tune the rom for that.

I have logged the above and will post them from my laptop. For the last few days it has been living in my car. So I will head out to the garage and Post it. Also I noticed that in EVOscan when switching between MUTIII or DSM/3000GT I get some wild *** values. Then it seems like it gets all funky. My IAT is in the 300 range. But when I have DSM selected its correct at like 86 deg. I have a fan blowing directly down on the motor itself to keep it cooler. Im in Tampa, FL so its stil hot hot hot.. Today will be 90 deg. =( that will be nice to go SD and not have to worry about the fine adjustments of MAF. Also i noticed in the EVO rom compared to the Subaru ROM there is ALOT more tables to manage. Meaning more features as well. Let me go get the loigs.

SD is way more finicky than the MAF when it comes to dialing it in. You will spend a good deal of time getting it to work just right over a broad air temp range. Once you have it dialed in for 90* weather, it may need re-adjusting in 40* weather in the winter. Not really sure how cold it gets down there in the winter lol.

Thanks for post that ROM up JoT .. it was interesting to look over the parameters and compare to the settings I was using for my 2G-->Evo8 ecu. I have been running an evo 8 ecu for just over 1.5 years and I think your MAF settings are a bit better then what I had :-)

That ROM you posted worked much better, After i reversed my firing order the car started great. Problem is my RPM gauge was working then started bouncing from 0 to idle and then died all together and stopped wrorking. I was told it has to do with the reversed firing order. So what would cause my RPM gauge and my Boost gauge at the same time stop working. Its wierd but idles smooth, but chokes out soon as i begin to step on the fuel then kind of clears up and then stumbles. Its all over the place. Im getting so frustrated, Im about to get all evo 8 parts, TB, MAF, INJ, etc, and anything that i have issues with ignore the wiring harness and run my own wires.

What can i log in EVO scan so that i can post the logs so that it will help figure out what is going wrong. I went over the whole rom and it should be fine. JoT that is a great rom. I just dont get it.
