Can/how do I disable the MPD sensor??
I just got a new (to me) 04 RS. It came with the complete zeitroix setup. It also came with Road Race Engineerings "Manifold Differential Pressure (MPD) Sensor Adapter" (http://www.roadraceengineering.com/evo.htm half way down). I want to use it to connect my zetronix boost sensor to the IM (check the link to get what Im saying). To do that I would have to disable any test or things looking for the MPD. So can it be done?
Check out my thread on getting the adapter.

Plus you'll need to get the settings for the rom right.

So what i actually need to know is how to disable/remove the factory MPD sensor completely (with no CEl light or running problems) or if I even that can even be done.
I think i didnt explain what i would like to do exactly. I dont wanna run the zeitronix MAP sensor to the ECU (thats what that info seemed to be pointing too, if Im not mistaken). I want to install the zeitronix MAP sensor (using the RRE adapter) in the spot that the factory MPD. I will be loggin the zeitronix MAP sensor using zeitronix hardware/software.

Well, im smogging it in the next 2 weeks (as soon as I get a complete stock exhaust setup to use), then I wont have to smog it for 2 years so i wouldnt mind disabling the ERG and such. Its not my DD
It depends on what ROM you are running. I have an 04 RS and am running the Zeitronix sensor to both the ZT-2 box and the stock ECU. For logging, it's better to read it from the stock ECU because there is a slight light through the serial->USB converter. I'm running a Euro ROM from a car that didn't have EGR, so there's nothing to "patch." If you are going to keep your native ROM, then you'll need to patch your ROM so you don't get a CEL/emissions fail from the EGR test. I know this probably all sounds Greek if you haven't been reading here for a while. Probably better to leave it alone for 2 weeks and start in on it after you have a clean emissions bill of health.

I had zeitronix in my last evo. I logged boost and AFR from the zeitronix though EVOscan and it worked perfectly (this was before the JDM map was being used). Also i dont really wanna input it into the ECU. Just trying to get rid of the MPD and do logging like I used to.
And of course im going to do my smog before I install my zeitronix stuff.
