Poor Cold Idle (Yes I searched)
It still goes rich, but not as long as before... I will go test it out again real quick since the car is cold and see if I can post up a log (if it is small enough)...

My ride has absolutely no start up or idle issue but that engine cold timing routine really feels wrong.... especially on a catless car.
Now I've tired the EGR bit 11 thing and that didn't fix the problem.
I need to know how to find the quoted map for editing. I'm still using ECUFlash 1.30 and it doesn't show any of these maps. What version do I need to fix the cold start timing map?

Bez found this map a couple years ago & posted it on aktivematrix...as far as I know it is only defined for the 96530006 ROM.

I knew it ! !
Now if we can find the drfinitions for 94170015......all our prayers will be answered.
OR...
the switch to 96530006 will come sooner than later.

I've been watching these threads that last weeks, and I gotta say I love the tenacity Paul. Great job to everyone involved hunting this down.
Can you confirm this at an early morning start up to be sure? Thanks and if anyone finds the defs for 88590015 I would be in debt to you. Thanks...
^Absolutely, when I switched to the livemap 5.10 earlier this year I somehow skipped altering the low load columns in this table & had an unusually high idle when dead cold...I fixed the timing values to get the right timing & everything went back to normal.
For reference my low load is scaled as such..10,40,50,60 etc. Without fixing the table it was trying to run around 22* at Idle when dead cold, when it warmed up everything was fine.
Appauldd, there are alot of similarities between the 94170015 & 96530006, the map location may possibly be the same with different axis, I haven't tried it but the location is 61c9.

For the record, the two tables involved in the stuff Applaudd is talking about above are:
As far as I can tell, these two maps don't exist (in this form) in 94170015 or 88590015. I might be missing it, but if something like this is there, the way it's calculated is probably different (ie. different table structure).
We've seen them come up in the past both here and here, as well as over on AktiveMatrix (Bez).
PHP Code:
<table name="Ignition Unknown Map (warm-up?)" category="Timing" address="61c9" type="3D" swapxy="true" scaling="Timing">
<table name="Load" address="6910" type="X Axis" elements="19" scaling="Load"/>
<table name ="RPM" address="68de" type="Y Axis" elements="20" scaling="RPM"/>
</table>
<table name="Ignition Unknown Control (warm-up?)" category="Timing" address="61b6" type="2D" level="2" scaling="uint8">
<table name="Engine Temp" address="6a36" type="X Axis" elements="8" scaling="Temp"/>
</table>

Cmon guys....I know the address has to be there somewhere. I feel it un my guts that this table will solve the cold idle issues.
I wish I could de-code as well as I can read XML. Someone teach me.

3ff5 is for sure a cold warm up table of some sort....scaling works out in both fuel and timing trim.....How odd? If you have it set as AFR you will see 14.7s and then a hole. If you have it set as timing trim you will see all 0s and a hole.
Problem is that this table does not help the cold idle issue. I tried it stock, and I tried it zeroed out. Both to no avail.

For the strange table above.....
Load could be scaled as (just like the other timing tables) 66f4
RPM could be scaled as (just like the other timing tables) 66c2
From what I can tell, all of the timing tables start with a "3" in the address. Maybe this could be a starting point for the coders? ? ?

Well its out there.... I'm running 88590015 and when logging cold I can see the timing alterations.
I wonder how this differs from the EGR cat light off routine..... I had **** poor response from the the bit 11 modification.
