Thanks Bryan!

TBEC will still try to be applied (based on BDEL) - but really its insignificant since it will max out at +10%.

Yes that's how long the 0% will be applied after the knock is detected - and indeed finishes.

Yup once the timer expires it should go back to whatever is in the map.

hmm so that CEL flash duration applies to slow cell / low knock too?

I usually set the CEL flash duration to 300 ms so you can tell if the low knock clears up during a pull or to really let out

Yup 1 timer to rule them all

If the knock is ongoing then the timer keeps getting reset.

So really the timer is how long "after" the knock event to persist with boost drop...

Ok I'll have to test a bunch of different ms out then.

I imagine a 50-70% WGDC to 0% WGDC, even for 300ms will feel like a mini fuel cut. Should still do the trick of "wtf is wrong with my car I better let out"

Yeah Dan tested it and said it was pretty smooth.

But I guess you will find out

For the JCSBanks SD patch, would it be worth while (for simplicity and consistency) to increase the RPM VE map size and use the same RPM axis that is used in the BIG MAPS?

I think this already exists.
I think it would be nice if we could simply select which map sensor we use in EcuFlash and it automatically loads the settings.

That IS possible but it would require the settings to be stored in memory and take up VERY precious space these days.

I've been running with this for some time now with V5.10 and it's worked great!

There's nothing to be defined in the MUT (which you probably would have guessed).
That's not the MAP sensor tables, those are the Boost Control Tables for use with MAP sensor boost control. I mean the ACTUAL 'MAP SENSOR' tables required for changing the map sensor settings for sensors other than the stock or JDM map sensor with the 96530006 rom.

A couple things

1. we can rescale the RPM in the NEW BIG fuel/timing maps, and it wont mess up any RPM scaling in any other table right?

2. if using the JDM/EVO X Map sensor, we can just flash this ROM and it works, or do we still have to do the adding and editing of the MAP tables to make it work?

1. yes. The big maps don't share load/rpm axis' with any other maps

2. I'm not sure which is why I'm asking about the 'MAP SENSOR' tables for 96530006 but IDK if anyone has them readily available. This rom didn't use ANY map sensor from the factory from wheat I recall reading so SOMOENE needed to add the MAP SENSOR maps to edit it for use with the JDM map sensor if its already pre-patched for it.

I would assume you need to change all the scalings for the JDM MAP. If you have the tables just check the values of the rom to the JDM posted values. You will know right away if they are wrong, car will start then die.

Quick question: When tuning the fuel/timing on the big maps do I need to alter the small fuel/timing maps? I'm able to see both and didn't know which one would be referenced.

With this new universal rom for evo 8-9, is possible retarded ign to -15 or -20 degrees? Old roms limited to -10º igntion.

How-to for create this launch phenem!
