It's not's tephra's modification that requires it. The 96530006 rom almost always idle adjustment.

Sending the SAS command then adjusting the screw is the factory specified way of setting the idle. It's the same for all roms.

in the 2nd post? Normally, I'd do it right before the <rom> for Ecuflash ROM editing... Sorry for clogging the thread. Is it after the last bit of code for GPS Altitude ?
Sorry, I thought you were talking about the map tracer.

As posted multiple other times in this thread and others, copy it into the mode2 area, the first area where you see datalog items. This is right near the top, and you can easily identify it by looking at the order of items and matching that order to what you see displayed in evoscan.

Did you have to do that on your car. I just copied over the data from my rom to the V7 rom and it just worked no idle screw adjustment or SAS command needed. Idle was exactly the same as the previous rom.

This is what I was expecting. I used the 88590715 rom.

My car idles fine with my current map. I have never touched the BISS screw or used the SAS command previously.

Edit: It's worth noting that I used the 88590715 rom that WASN'T edited by phenem.

donour was referring to 96530006 specifically, as a replacement for whatever version (94170015, 96940011, etc) you might have been running before.

Just switching from 88590015 to 88590715 should have no effect whatsoever. It's basically the same ROM, with some additions. For USDM cars, switching to a 96530006 variant is a significant change in base code.

Any status update on progress on the Evo IX standalone XML files (i.e. all relevant XML definitions in one file, no inheritance from base classes)? Any idea of an ETA?

Thanks!!

So I hate to say this, but is there really no chance for a V7 EVO VIII USDM ROM??

Seems like there still people having problem using this "universal" Rom.

Also, i would just feel better using a USDM ROM on my USDM EVO.

I have already donated towards V7 (even though I dont use it..yet), but Ill be willing to donate more if we can get a EVO VIII USDM V7 ROM.

I say either 94170015 or 96420008.

Maybe 96420008 since it is the newest version from mitsu, being that its a '04 ROM and 94170015 is an '03 ROM.

Also if you use 9417 or 9642, neither of them have the dreaded "throttle hang" that 9653 has (and 9694 for that matter).

I believe there is a 96420011, which would be the most current 03-04 ROM.

I did once hear though that 96420011 wasnt a real Mitsu factory ROM, but i think that was just a rumor.

And yes, NOT 96940011. Besides that fact that that ROM itself has a low amount of extra space, it also has the "dreaded throttle hang" since its an 05+ ROM. So a def no on 9694

ick.

It seems to me like the better use of time would be to make the 96530006 transition painless.
