I have an 05 USDM Evo 8. Which maps should I use, the 96530706 or the 94170715? Are the bugs fixed in the 9417 rom?

I am using load based ECU boost control with the same numbers for all gears. Which one works better for my application?

9417 will work on an 05. And I believe the bugs are fixed.

Thanks.

The Tephra 9417 seems to have different tables than the ones I am accustomed to seeing for the MAP sensor. I put the lists in the image below. The Tephra map is missing the Map Scaling, Map Comparison, and the MAP vs. MAF Baro tables.

So how do I set up the tephra tables to log boost with the JDM MAP sensor? What should the values be in the Tephra tables? Any help is appreciated.

MRfreds thread about installing MAP sensors should go by the names that are in the tephra .xml.

That is is fine. I have no problem with using different names.

But, are the values for the MAP tables in the Tephra rom the ones to use for logging boost with a JDM MAP sensor? Is the rom ready to log a JDM MAP sensor with the current values in it?

I flashed the 2005 USDM Evo 8 with the 94170715 rom and the car would NOT start. I made sure that the immobilizer code was changed to that in the stock based rom. The car would turn over but it would NOT start.

When I flashed the car back to the 96940011 05 rom, it started right up. I even tried the 96530706 rom and stil the car would NOT start.

I have not had any problems with using the Evo 9 map switching roms posted in this thread. Why are these roms not working?

What is going on here? Can anyone help?

Edit:
Hold up do you drive an evo 9? or an evo 8? An evo 8 rom will not work with an evo9..

Disable the immobilizer periphery bit in FAA its towards the bottom with those tables.

It will allow the car to start up normally.

This is on an Evo 8. So copying and pasting the immobilizer code from the original rom to the 9714 rom will NOT make the car start? Why is that?

There is a another hex code which has to match basically the easiest way is to simply disable the immobilizer for now and see if it will play ball.

Thanks man. I will try it and report back to the thread. I was so disappointed that the car did not start.
