I have donated to tephra paypal account and requested rom 90550001 a few days ago. I know he is very busy so I was wondering if anybody on here could send me the rom and xml files please. I can send the receipt of donation to whoever helps if you want so you don't think I'm trying to get a handout

Hello guys. I have some questions because i cant find the answer anywhere and now i'm confused and i need a help!!!
Firtsly, some infos about my car (evo 9 - rom 88840017). My car is reflashed from another tuner and he put tephra v7 to my car.
I start to do some logs and i saw too many knocks and i create some now maps a little more rich with less ignition timing.
So now i have some question.
1)when i read my rom i read a hex file only(or and xml file)?
2)when i read my rom i cant see tephra mods!
3)i want to write back my new hex file. So if i write back my hex file, i will lost my
tephra mods?
4)when i will write my hex file back to my car,i am also writing and the xml file(stock with no tephra) from ecuflash?
5)how i can read my tephra mods with ecuflash or evoscan?(i dont have his tephra
xml file)
6)which program is right to write back my new tune hex file and keep my tephra mods (ecuflash or evoscan)?

hi, to answer your questions...
1) it will be HEX or BIN depending on the program used and how you select to save it
2) you need the correct XMLs in your ECUFlash evo folder
3) you wont lose the tephra settings, but i wouldnt flash anything back without having the correct XML first as the tephra fuel and ignition maps replace the stock versions. if you are using the stock version XMLs then you will more than likely stuff things up big time
4) no, it is only the hex/bin file that is written

i want to set tephra v7 in my rom 88840017, but i read the only way is to do all the modification in 88580714 tephra-rom and to write this file to my ecu!right?if i do that i will lost my internal id 88840017 with the new one! Does anyone know if i can have v7 with my rom(i need the xml file)!!! I am trying to set an older tephra v5.5 but when i open the ecuflash i have this error message ''Parse error at line 11, column 3 unexpected character''!how i can fix this?
does anyone knows if this version is ok with my rom?

You must have associated the ROM with wrong or no xml when you first opened it. I don't exactly know how to put back the right xml association (should be simple)... but one thing I'm sure is that will work:
1- remove/reinstall ecuflash
2- reinstall XML pack in the folder
3- redownload and reopen the rom
That will work for sure if you do it right.
