There a 2 things you can if you know absolutely that it is false knock.

You can raise the load threshold slightly as the 60-70 load range is known for false knock.

You can raise your knock multiplier v rpm by no more than 20% in the rouble rpm range. Start with 10% and see if that cures it, if not go up 5%. This basically lets the ecu know that it is slightly noiser in that rpm range and no need to worry.

Hey Guys having a problem....

While tuning my car last night Evo7RS using Tephra V7 once I hit about 30psi i seem to be getting some sort of boost or fuel cut. The usual tables are max out any ideas on what could be causing this?

I am using a boost controller (Gizzmo), it is a FP black turbo, 2.3 stroker engine with very mild head work.

BTW this is a JDM car...car pulls very strong.....but I would like to up the boost to 40psi with Race Gas.

Could it be my map sensor or MAF being maxed out?

whats yours boost load cut set at? you may need to do the Fuel x2 mod to up it to upto 600 load

I am running an evo 8 ecu in my 2g dsm race car, If I go v7 SD what pins do I use for an IAT I have a fuel cell so I obviously dont have a fuel temp sensor.

Do I hook it up to pins 5and6 on my maf harness and if so do I have to do any software changes to run that?

Boost Limit is at 319% and delay at 9000ms

I dont mean to sound dense but how do I do the Fuel x2 mod?

I lowered the load table to 65 and it now goes into op at 75 , im not sure if its just a delay in evo scan or if its the 1 byte load, either way 75 is a lot better than 100. zeroing the tps table also had no effect other than turning off ltft . thanks

Sorry. If i go into another subject. But i dont know who to ask. My car been having cruising knock or low rpm knocks. These knocks occurs from 2500-3000rpm and stay knocks until i let go the gas then i knocks go away. But sometimes when i step on the gas lightly again, the knocks come back but sometime it doesnt come back and i can boost normal again. I sometimes get 20-30 knocks when it start knocking. Me n my tuner cant figure out y. Can someone help me please?????

Hi I would like to ask for help. I have been struggling with V7 setting on my EVO IX for 3 weeks. I have problem with boosting control and with engine on idle. It goes up and down. It EDM EVO IX with originally 88840016 now running 88580714 V7. The car has no HW mod (except fuel pump). Can be so kind and provide me any V8 hex running on originaly 88840016 just to compare setup?

i am needing some major help getting v7 up and running with s/d. i am currently using rom id:94170015. i have searched and read for weeks i feel i am just turnin circles. can i send a copy of my rom and xml to someone to see what i am doing wrong? or can somebody send me a copy of there rom and modified evo7base xml with s/d and v7 installed (also the scalings for an aem 5 bar map possibly set up on rom i am trying to use fuel temp for gm iat and mr.freds fix 2 for jitter)? if anyone wants to help me feel free to pm/text me 8014149255. (text prefered because its faster.

i am new to evoscan/ecuflash and i am kind of needing the instructions broke down for me into tard terms. i am trying to learn but there is way too much **** packed into these threads. i think if i can talk to someone with a little expiriance 1 on 1 it will help.

thank you all in advance. ps. im not being lazy and not resarching i just dont understand it yet so any help will be much appreciated.

Looks like you need to get a new tuner. First you need to determine if it is false or real. Is something rubbing on the car, ie the dp rattling. Log knock count and voltage, if it is real knock you will see a spike in voltage when the knock occurs if it is real. You can raise the knock filter low by no more than 20% if it is false. Seriously though look into getting a tuner who knows the cars their tuning, some research on their part would have given the answers needed.
