Are you getting any knock when it transitions from the launch map to your regular maps?

No knock at all. Launch maps are great stuff. You just have to watch blowing your front diff launching by droping the clutch too fast.

I'm tempted to ask to get those maps from you, but I don't know how much I should change the values because I'm on e85...

It is actually pretty simple to set up your own....

Set your stationary rev limit to your desired launch rpm....in my case 5500
Get the car warmed up and then log you bouncing off of the stationary limit.
Look at your log to determine where you need to add fuel and remove timing.
The ECU clips timing at -10 so it is pointless to enter less. (although some may desire less)
In the same area you remove timing, add fuel....and lots of it as the moments between rpm bounces will go lean.
Make sure you have smooth transitions in and out of the hole
Log again and make adjustments as necessary.

In my case, my initial settings above were a bit too lean and a tad too aggressive. I have since adjusted it quite a bit to make the launch smoother on the drivetrain. The weather is so cold now that I cannot launch without spinning the heck out of all the wheels. Thus I will have to wait to fully tune it until spring.

The info from Appauldd would explain that in the pre launch map world I would always SLOWL
Y squeeze the throttle. Otherwise I would get alot of knock. Probably still not a bad idea though.

This is very true.....DO NOT just mash the throttle....you will knock like mad.

Lay into the throttle easy and slow up to your stationary rev limit.

Hold the gas to the floor.......put it in gear.......prepare to hold the hell on.

good point.

he can also try getting the ignition retard limit pushed. -20 timing would sound sexy , however, i am not sure you will get MUCH more boost or even need more.

my car lights up all 4 tyres with 10psi.

I too light up the tires at 10psi. It takes some finess to launch and not spin the tires.
