So if you are knocking on the 2step Im assuming this is not normal or good. I lowered my timing and it made it better but didnt go away fully. I have timing at 10. Im assuming I need to get closer to 0

Sorry, I'm a bit late with my reply but I never noticed your message. At the track I don't use launch maps, just the regular 2-step at 5k because I'm on stock clutch and don't need more power as it is. Just for kicks I'm testing out launch maps at 4.5k at -10 degrees.

Try to make a smooth transition, and also keep in mind you'll be on your regular timing map until you pass the various thresholds to switch to launch maps, so even if your transition is perfect in your launch map, you might stay on your regular map for a while and be causing a big jump when it switches. Usually I don't get very much knock when I try out launch maps. See my launch ignition map below.

Just read this entire thread. Im currently on tephra v7. I have my launch maps enabled. I am building about 7 psi off the line. Car blows the tires off which is fine. My only concern is my wideband is reading all the way lean. Is normal?

Is this because of the fuel cut? My Nlts goes all the way lean also.

Yes its normal, our launch control uses fuel cut, not ignition cut.

Just tried launching for the first time using the launch maps and it was AWESOME!!! This can be addicting

I might have to give drag racing a go this spring/summer.

Hi all,
I was told NLTS uses the launch maps is that true ?
I currently believe it does since I have the same boost during nlts and launch (11-12psi)

my question would be : what should I do to get more boost in terms of timing and afrs ? (don't want it for launch, my tires are already having a hard time but for nlts)
I can't post the maps here they aren't mine sorry (they are weird anyway)

NLTS doesn't use launch maps. You can't change fueling during NLTS because the engine is in a fuel-cut state during NLTS. In theory I suppose you could keep timing pretty low in the 100-200 load, high rpm range (the area you hit while using NLTS).

Here is my current launch map

It worked great on stock turbo and stock injectors. Now I have bigger injectors (PTE 1200) and It is really hard to launch using the 2 step, I'm flooding the engine and it bogs.

Shouls I lean it out, add timming or both?

Thanks for your reply

I would just start by leaning it out.

So this has probably been asked a few times, but I only see 3 psi with the 2 step. I'm using a td06 20g turbo. Stock ecu and used ecuflash without tephra mod to enable launch control. It's set to 5k rpm. What boost should I be seeing and how can I correct this?
