noobers, are you using the base 9417 V7 or would ou by chance accidentally using one setup for the omni 4-bar? Have you tried using the other VIII V7 rom?
I used option 1 in the v7 thread, downloaded xml pack and used the attatched bin. I havent tried a different rom yet and i think evo scan was making me see codes that werent there, after hooking up a real scanner code p1400 was the only one in memory. also after removing p1400 in periphery i havent had a cel for a couple days now. I just hate removing codes if it isnt needed!

Sorry for the noob question but I need help logging the following and I have tried searching with no luck. I want to:

1 Log the airflow calcs (lbamin)
2 log IAT with the GM sensor

I have been running the V7 ROM since it came out but I decided to dig back into this stuff and try to start tuning again. It seems most of the patches were written prior to the V7 release.

I have enabled the Tephra Mod options in the ROM, and followed the Evoscan directions for setting up the logging. Do I need to patch the V7 ROM to be able log these or are the V7 ROMs preloaded with all the necessary settings?

Logging the IAT returns in a steady 195.8 F
Logging the Airflow returns a 0

Thanks in advance for your help!

Tryin to read my ecu with ecuflash. Downloaded tephra v7, an copied all into rom data folder. Still won't allow me to utiliZe ecuflash. I did a golden evo scan and it came back with rom Id 52690122. I Didnt see that in the folder anywhere. Is it not supported by v7? Previously tuned car btw, just looking to view and edit some tables

08 evo x mr

I've downloaded V7, copied maps over, tweaked settings, and added scaling/latency for my new injectors. I also went through each item in V7 to see what it was trying to control. After all of this, I have the following questions and would be grateful to hear some answers.

1) V7 now shows I have a 6-speed instead of a 5-speed. The How-To for V7 shows only using gears 0-5 so I'm guessing I'll be okay. When in gear based boost control how does it know what gear I'm in?

2) Under "Idle" settings my "High Intake Air Temp ISCV Increase" table has changed. Why?
AC OFF - Old = 17, V7 = 0
AC ON - Old = 42, V7 = 17

3) I added a MUT table to my last ROM. I assume I don't need to copy anything from this over to V7, is this true?

4) Under "MAP Sensor" the "MAP Test 1: Mid VE Max Voltage" went from 4.90 to 4.80. I understand it's small, does it matter?

5) Under "Global Boost Control Settings" what is the "RPM/Speed to Gear" table? Do I need to change anything? Sort of goes along with question 1.

6) Under "Global Fuel" what is the "Fuel Cut Multiplier"? Do I want to use x1 or x2?

7) What's the point of "MrFred Airflow Calcs"?

Thanks in advance for any and all help. I'm pumped to start using V7 but I'd like to make sure it's set up correctly first.

You will be fine with just using 0-5. Most folks just copy their 5th gear settings into the 6th gear column. The ecu determines the gear through speed and rpm.

2) Under "Idle" settings my "High Intake Air Temp ISCV Increase" table has changed. Why?
AC OFF - Old = 17, V7 = 0
AC ON - Old = 42, V7 = 17
I can't tell you why on this one, but it did not impact me.

4) Under "MAP Sensor" the "MAP Test 1: Mid VE Max Voltage" went from 4.90 to 4.80. I understand it's small, does it matter? 4.90 is for the stock mdp sensor, 4.8 is for an Omni 4-bar. Set yours up according to which one you have.

5) Under "Global Boost Control Settings" what is the "RPM/Speed to Gear" table? Do I need to change anything? Sort of goes along with question 1. This impacts your gear based boost control. Do not change.

6) Under "Global Fuel" what is the "Fuel Cut Multiplier"? Do I want to use x1 or x2? Use fuel cut x1 if your load curve is under 319, use fuel cut x2 if your load curve exceeds 319.

7) What's the point of "MrFred Airflow Calcs"?

Thanks in advance for any and all help. I'm pumped to start using V7 but I'd like to make sure it's set up correctly first.

Thanks to ReaperX questions 1, 4, 5, and 6 are answered. I looked up in the Omni 4bar thread and for some reason it changes between 4.80V and 4.90V on different ROMs for the Mid VE Max. I'm going to use 4.90 as that's what 94170015 calls for.

Still waiting for 2, 3, and 7.

An honest thank you goes out to all the people involved in coding, testing, troubleshooting, and advising for V7.

Thanks, glad it can help newcomers!!

Don't forget Raptord's GREAT work on his Ecu controlled boost guide. When you'll need it, you'll understand how outstanding it is

I'm running the v7 ix by recompile without speed density. I'm looking for the boost cut table. I don't see it. My 1 byte load goes to 355. I don't see the boost cut table in the rom. I only see the fuel cut 2x for my situation. I've done some searching, but can't find the information I need.

1. Will the boost cut work since my load is higher than 319?
2. If yes to number 1, what xml tables do I add?

Are you certain you have downloaded the correct xml file and place it in your rom metadata folder?
