**Need Help setting up V7???** Here is your answer
Ok so I have a 2007 EDM Evo IX running 88840016 rom.
My tuner (TSCOMPTUNED, getting ProTune 1) needs me to log Load 1Byte but it seems I need a Tephra V5.1 or greater rom to be able to do this.
When we first started on my tune he asked me if there was a V7 for my rom.
So after some searching I found this:
8884001X - You can use 88580714 with no problems. Just ensure you copy your immobiliser AND 0xFFA bits (yes 0xFFA) otherwise the immobiliser wont work
So I downloaded 88580714 and sent him that. Later he gets back to me and says that we can't use this rom because he is experiencing bugs on it from another customer. That the rom is so buggy the ecu tries to add more timing then he tunes it for making it highly dangerous.
So we decided to keep the original 88840016 rom.
I did some searching and found several other people seeing timing issues with this rom. Like they would set 30 or so but see -10 in the logs.
But there are also alot of people using this rom and liking it a lot but maybe they just haven't spotted the timing issue?
So now I don't know what to do. I can't find any info on another rom I could use on my car, everyone just says the same, use 88580714.
Is there another(tested) rom I can use on my car? Or can someone take another look at 88580714 and see what is causing the timing issues?

Trying to set up v7 88590715 w/ recompile mods. I'm using this thread (https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ec...t-control.html) to try and set up boost control since it says mrfred had his mods in the rom. I'm having trouble finding baseline boost and boost adder. Has this just been discussed somewhere that I missed? Btw, my IX is bone stock except for a drop in filter.
Thanks
Thanks
I haven't messed with ecuflash in several months, so I'm getting myself used to it again.
This weekend I'll be uploading v7 on a friends evo 8, it's a '03 while mine is an '05. Whenever I open a fresh v7 rom, in the rom info it still reads off '05 6MT. I downloaded fresh pack of XML files and in the rom info it still has my info.
Do I have to make the edit in the XML file? Or it won't make a difference?
Thanks

Migration - v5.10 to v7
I currently have a v5.10 map running in my Evo IX equipped with map switching and an Aquamist HFS-1 kit. I noticed in version v7 there is a "High Knock Boost Drop" option based on the Knock CEL Flash Time so I'm making the switch. I used the BigMapTranslator for the ignition and fuel tables.
I've copied all the matching tables over from Tephra v5.10 to v7 and I have the following tables in v7 that don't exist in v5.10 and I'm not sure what to do here.
Not sure about these tables:
Alternate Cranking Enrichment IPW Adder (Main)
MAF IAT WGDC Correction
WGDC Correction Interval
Max WGDC vs Coolant Temp
BCS Re/De-Activation RPM
I'm not using TPS alt map so I don't think I need to do anything with these tables and can zero them out?
Max Total Upward WGDC Correction vs TPS
WGDC=100% under this Load
Minimum Load for Boost Control
I'm not using gear based boost control so don't need the following and should just zero out? I put the same boost values in all the gear based boost tables.
RPM/Speed to Gear
The tables look similar to "Open Loop Throttle #1" and "Open Loop Throttle #2" but the values in v7 don't go as high.
Open Loop Load
Open Loop Throttle
This is the lean spool which I didn't set in v5.10 so need to zero out maybe?
Lean Spool Start RPM
Lean Spool Stop RPM
These idle tables don't exist in v5.10 either so not sure what to do here. Are these tables usually okay without any adjustments?
Target Minimum Idle n/a
Target Idle RPM with AC On #1 n/a
Target Idle RPM with AC On #2 n/a
Target Idle for Off-Normal MIVEC n/a
Target Idle When IAT > 205F n/a

Immobilizer - How to change
How do I change the immobilizer code in v7? I'm able to bring up the Immobilizer window but, when I click "Set Data" and enter the code it doesn't save it.
Immobilizer - How to change (resolved)
I figured out the problem with immobilizer and it's working now. Now I'm wondering where the "Time to Activate" setting for the valet mode is...I don't see it in the ROM.
Gidday Guys,
I bought an Evo about 6 months ago and I’m trying to get my hands on the Tephramodv7 for my AUDM Evo IX.
My rom is the 8858 0013 so I guess I’m looking for the 8858 0713 ROM? I wasn’t sure whether there are other roms suitable with the ICS code etc.
The other things I’ve got ready to install are a 4 Bar OMNI MAP sensor
Dual Map switch (98 and E85), 1250cc injectors, GSC S2 Cams etc……
I'm looking forward to checking out all the cool things modv7 has to offer!
I’m also really looking to fix my throttle hang (fried my brakes at the track last week) and believe I need to adjust the decel fuel tables. I have the extra lines I need to add for 88590015 (See below) are the addresses the same for the 88580013 ROM?
Most of the actual table values given on evolutionm are for the Evo 8’s that have the 4 different decal fuel cut delay tables, but I have read that roughly halving the original values is pretty close for the IX. Have you got anything more concrete on this?
Thanks,
Chris
For 88590015: The Decel maps
<table name="Decel Fuel Cut Delay #1" category="Fuel" address="3d6e" type="2D" level="2" scaling="uint8">
<table name="Engine Load" address="6fc6" type="X Axis" elements="7" scaling="Load"/>
</table>
<table name="Decel Fuel Cut Delay #2" category="Fuel" address="3d82" type="2D" level="2" scaling="uint8">
<table name="Engine Load" address="6fc6" type="X Axis" elements="7" scaling="Load"/>
</table>
<table name="Decel Fuel Cut Retard" category="Timing" address="3da2" type="2D" level="2" scaling="Timing">
<table name="Engine Speed" address="6b7a" type="X Axis" elements="10" scaling="RPM"/>

Hi guys
I'm a new member from Italy . I'd like to thanks all the people on this forum because I learned and I'm still learning a lot.
my stock map is 88840017
I'd like to try this mod but I don't know how to change this bits:
8884001X - You can use 88580714 with no problems. Just ensure you copy your immobiliser AND 0xFFA bits (yes 0xFFA) otherwise the immobiliser wont work
Can someone help me?
Thanks in advance
