**Need Help setting up V7???** Here is your answer
If I load my old ROM (attached) the clicking around atmospheric pressure goes away. I want to use the other ROM, but the clicking drives me nuts. Could this have something to do with the 4 Bar MAP sensor that I'm using?
88590715 on edm gsr
I have problem flashing 88590715 on my edm car.
First i try with 88590015 cause is a stock rom,and my car cranck but it immediatly die.
what happens???
i read somewhere that some pin on ecu like fuel pump can be different.
Is it true???
My stock rom is 88840006.
Thanks for replyes

Hi Guys,
I have just installed the 88580714 V7 ROM into my AUDM Evo IX, original ROM 88580013. It is great love the extra features!
I have a couple of things I can’t figure out.
I have removed my rear oxygen sensor and replaced with an Innovate MTX-l Wideband wired into the ECU. I am getting a rear O2 sensor heater Check engine light (error code PO141). After installing V7 the light still come on when starting the car. The rear oxygen sensor simulator is activated and Bit1 on FAA is also activated. I there something else I need to change?
Also my car now drops into open loop far easier than previously. I have checked tables Open loop load 1 & 2 and Open loop throttle 1 & 2 and they both match up to the original rom. What else can cause this? It also seems to take a lot longer to go back into closed loop when coming to idle . It can be sitting on an AFR of 12 at idle for a minute or so before going back into closed loop.

88570008 to 88590715
The 88590715 works on my JDM 88570008.
Two issues:
1. the engine light will always stays on once the engine restart. The only way to fix it is to flash the ecu again. However the rom image has to be changed a bit, doen't matter what to change as long as its diffirent to the image stored in the ecu.
2. the ICS no longer working, the ICS green light will not comes on when switch to auto. It controls the Alt Map though. I can tell by loging my Timing ADV.
By the way the evosan shows fault: j2534 read error-16
Help please.
Many thanks
Mark

The clicking you are hearing is coming from the Grimmspeed, the valve is opening and closing. The solution I have seen posted was to put foam or rubber between the Grimmspeed and the chassis to keep the noise down.

Quickie: can I fully remove the stock BCS after switching to V7? am running an MBC and could use the weight reduction..lol
If so, is there a bit to turn it off to avoid any potentials cel's? I dont remember seeing it in the tephra bits table.
Thx

I just want to post the link to the v7 guide we've made. It's not over but still it's quite advanced.

Maybe it could answer some random questions asked in this thread.

hey guys, I have a question about 1byte to 2byte load factor in rom
does it matter for car operation what load factor would be there in rom or it just matters only for logging purposes/evoscan ?

****update**** the codes seem to happen right after a flash, the codes will vary sometimes it thows inj, egr, fuel pump, baro, vss and im sure im fogetting a couple . thinking about just going back to the original rom since it works without codes?
Stunt, the load factor matters for logging purposes as it takes 2-byte and divides it by the factor in the rom, and then evoscan multiplies the 1byte by that factor to show load.
noobers, are you using the base 9417 V7 or would ou by chance accidentally using one setup for the omni 4-bar? Have you tried using the other VIII V7 rom?
