Mine does this too, are you MAF or speed density? Does anyone have any thoughts on what table affects the initial take off, as far as how much fuel gets added?

Also, is yours worse when cold? (because mine is)

Hi I recently bought an evo 9 from a friend and purchased evoscan and downloaded the tephramod v7 with ecuflash v1.43.3252. I also copyed all the tephramod xml files to the C:\Program Files\OpenECU\EcuFlash\rommetadata\mitsubishi\evo. I also did the same thing to the C:\Users\tevita\Documents\Documents\EvoScan v2.7\ROMS.
The ecu has already been hacked buy someone else and im just trying to get things working for me. Im using the 88590715 rom. So I am a noob at this and doing lots of reading and trying to understand it but there are some things I don't get like this quote im having the same problem where the "Desired ISCV intial step position with AC on-Neutral" and the "Desired ISCV intial step position with AC off-Drive" settings are gray and i can't work with them. there must be something missing in the xml file but i dont know what it is How do i fix this? Im trying to solve my idle issue with a/c on if i dont move the car and turn the a/c on its ok but when i drive the car as soon as i push the clutch in coasting or decel while moving with a/c on the car dies. I attached my file so u could see.
I appreciate any help from u guys

Usually when something is greyed out, it's your "level" isn't set high enough to edit that. Go into Options, and then set yourself to developer, see if you can change them then. Also, beware that the ISCV stuff isn't exactly "right" in all of the tables, there is a different definition that has a lot of stuff, one of which is the tables you mentioned, so check for MR Freds posts on ISCV dissemble before you edit too much.

Thanks HornstarBU. Ill check up on the user level stuff but I know I set it to user level "developer" and ill read through MRFreds posts on the ISCV stuff and hopefully fix the issue. Maybe there are some updates or something Im missing in the ROM tables?? Anyway thank you again.

Ok well for some reason I can open the TephraMod 88590715 rom in notepad portable++ and paste the ISCV files from the Thread "ISCV Disassembly" that mrfred made. BUT when i try to save it, my computer says "save failed" please check weather if this file is opened in another program. WTF is this?? I closed all my programs that are running at the time but it still says that. how do I find the other program that has it opened so i can stop it and update my rom??

Either reboot the PC, or if that doesn't work, you might have windows 7 and the "trusted installer" user account owns the file. You can right click it, and change the owner to your account if you want to make sure that's not the issue.

I did, not sure how much of a difference it made though, it works either way.

Well... i really dont know why.. but i am totally lost on how to even start to switch over to Tephra. I have the rom 9417 and all the farther i got tonight was got the XML file into my ecuflash xml file directory.. thats it.

DEF. need help in getting it set up. as in setting the tables right (tried big map translator) but that really just confused me even more

Someone please just give me a place to start or try to explain so it makes a little sense on how to set it up!

Thank you.

I use the most recent beta version of ecuflash so I can do stand alone sd card logging, but I don't suggest you do that. The reason I mention it is that is has "compare roms", does the version you have do that as well? If so, open your rom and the 9417 rom you want, and compare the 2 copying things over as necessary. As far as maps, just look at comparable load columns and rpm and fill in the data to match, use H and V to interpolate between when you don't have the exact value.

Mine did/does this in various configurations, and it's typically the idle settings under ISCV. There is a/c off, a/c off drive which I think is for when you are turning (power steering) and then a/c on...but I haven't fully determined what exactly it should be. I use values from my stock ROM, and it seems to be the best.

Yours fires up, idles for a sec or 2, then the rpm's fall too fast and it dies, right?
