Does anyone know if it is possible to run the aem 3 or 5 bar map sensor in place of the JDM sensor. If so where would you change the scaling for the sensor?

I think this is what you want, not 100% sure, but I think. You basically want to see the VE stuff that you use for speed density, although I know you're not running it, but you set the stuff you would set for changing a MAP sensor to whatever your aem 5bar uses. I think it's in this thread though

^ thanks man
I looked through it and it has a lot of usful info. I see that the xml file has all the scalings for different map sensors but i dont know how to change to wich one im using. Maybe thats just an option on the SD versions.

Oh well I suppose. Changing the MAP isnt bad anyway

The simplest way:
  1. Open your current ROM in Ecuflash
  2. Open the Fuel Map 3d map, select all the cells and hit Ctrl-C to copy
  3. Paste the map into the top part of the bigmap translator spreadsheet. Make sure you move the 110000 cells to the correct place
  4. Select the whole bigmap down the bottom of the spreadsheet and Ctrl-C
  5. Open your new ROM in Ecuflash (the one with the bigmap) and open the "Main Fuel Map" map.
  6. Select the top-left cell and hit Ctrl-V

This is the very simple way of doing it. It probably won't give you a smooth map and you may need to check each cell to make sure it's correct. Perhaps use the smoothing spreadsheet.

I don't know if it's the same on a IX as on my VIII but there are 2 immobilizer codes in the rom. "Immobilizer" and "Immobilizer Hex", make sure they are both the same.

I couldn't get mine to start at all after moving from the stock 96260009 to the 96530706 so I had to disable the immobilizer in the Periphery bits. It's not ideal but it starts. I have an aftermarket remote immobilizer installed as well so people can't start the car with a screwdriver.
