Hey guys, I'm kinda of a noob to this. I was wondering if anyone might have some pointers to get me in the right direction. I have read a bit, and getting a little frustrated.

I have ROM 88590015.

So I copied and pasted the 88590715 into the rom. And I can pull up the ROM, but I'm not seeing the MOD options, just lets me change FUEL/TIMING mostly. I'm in Developer mode as well. Any suggestions? I appreciate the help

Getting ready to go on a trip and don't want to carry my laptop to switch maps, anyone with any help on why the "MODS" doesn't show up?

I'm trying to figure out how to set up something other than a JDM 3-bar map sensor. If for instance I was using the OMNI 4-bar sensor and trying to use Recompiles 88590715 (v7 + Mods) download, do I just go through the full .xml and replace in each table the scaling for the OMNI sensor. So swap out JDM3barMAP for OMNI4barMAP ?

Its easy enough to find all the instances just using ctrl-f and searching, but I want to make sure this is the correct steps to retain all the functionality.

Also, my AEM analog boost gauge has a 0-5v pressure output. I haven't been able to find the scaling for it yet, anyone happen to have seen any references?

I'm having a problem with 96531706 v7 leaning out for a split second after pushing on the throttle. Anybody know which tables I need to adjust to fix this?

From reading this thread it seems like some say to just move the main maps... afr, timing, injector scaling and latencies, but than it looks like all the other maps have different values in them as well.

I'm just going to go map by map and adjust the values to how I had them in my original map.

Some maps have different scaling for different maps going from my old ROM to V7 so I should just edit the scaling to read the same as V7 and move the values over and than edit the scaling back to how it is in V7?

If I do this than the values change compared to how they were originally in V7, which means that I have to change more than just the main maps( timing, afr, injector) because the values are different in other tables as well.

One last problem I am having is that my original ROM goes up to 7500 rpm for all the "loop" tables, but the V7 goes up to 5750, because after 4000rpm in V7 the tables increment by 2500 instead of 500 rpm like they do in my original ROM.

Should I just manually change the V7 RPM values to reflect those in my original ROM.....

In my afr map I just interpolated the 250rpm values to fit in.

Heres a pic of what I mean.

Original ROM is 94170008 V7 is 96530706

thanks guys
I think a lot of the scaling is just personal preference, set it where you have more control in the spots you need it. With 9653, from 9417 you might get that "rev hang" which is common to all 05+ roms I think. Check here for solutions, I used https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/7596260-post61.html and https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/7580026-post11.html to eliminate my throttle hang.

Try setting the option to show "invalid tables" and see if they show up then? Then you'll know they are defined incorrectly. No error messages?

I think "Sync Load Accel Compensation vs RPM" might be what you want, what sort of mods do you have though, because the stock stuff ought to be fine unless you have, like, monster injectors or something crazy like big cams...I think.

I found this thread VERY useful when I got the 9653 installed on my ROM. It's not an evo, but this rom is extremely helpful for us "base lancer" guys who need help tuning farther than the stock rom can give us.

Hi guys.
New to tephra mods and i need your help.

Recently i upgraded my car EDM EVO 9 and had my tuner reprogrammed the car and install tephra V7.
He activated NTLS,valet mode, cel flash on knock and also he added alt map switch. All working great.
Before upgrade i had 88840016 rom.
After upgrade when i tried to download the rom with ecuflash i received error communicating with the car.
I finally managed to download rom with ecuscan.
After checking hex i found init code 0004.
That's the reason i could download rom with ecuflash.I have to change it to 001 correct?
Also ECU internal ID is know 89850118(!) and inherits 88840016 rom.

What do i have to do in order to see v7 mods when i open my rom?
I need to activate rear O2 simulator and i my tuner is abroad.
This is a screenshot of ecuflash when i open my rom.

Thanks in advance for your time.

In order to see the v7 mods, you need to have the items you want defined in your xml file that matches your ROM Internal ID. I don't see that ROM in the https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ec...hramod-v7.html post, which is sort of where I'd expect it. But, get the xml file your tuner used, and you'll have what you need...I know, tough if he's outta the country.

In the V7 thread, at the bottom of the main contributing posts where teh IX rom's located theres a XML list to copy into evo scan.. I dont see how or where to paste this in evo scan

Or was that supposed to be copied into the xml for ecu flash?

my stock rom is 88590015. Using 88590715 V7. I have no problem opening/editing tables in ECU Flash, however I have not made it to logging yet. im still waiting to figure out if my OPEN PORT 2.0 Cable is going to cook my ETACS unit and if i can just clip wire 9 on my OBDII port instead of messing up a 2.0 dongle that I need for subies aswell.
