I searched and tried for days!

I cannot get ecuflash to read. Evoscan works just fine. Ecuflash nothing, tried unlocker, and I tried older version (found when I searched). I placed a jump pack on my battery every-time tried to read still nothing. I have searched and searched again and again but i'm at a lose anyone have any ideas? I even tried different sequences of key on cable in nothing! Is there any way to tell if i have the right driver? When i plug the cable in it says v1.3 at the bottom.

This might sound like a dumb question...

but did you try ecu unlocker AND throwing it on the charger at the same time?

If not, I'd try a different laptop
If not, I'd make sure your reflash connector is plugged in (the little other white plug that hangs off) and is working properly.

I just ran through this problem the other day, took me about 100 attempts to get it to connect to any laptop. Start the car, run it for a few minutes, rev it up. Turn off the radio. Shut off car, try to connect. As someone mentioned you may need the unlocker. I got mine from Active Matrix website, it's called Mitsu unlocker 1.1. Run this program before opening up ecuflash. If you are able to connect, and then suddenly you can't connect again, you may have an issue with your ROM ID. I had this problem and we had to upload a new rom id to make it work properly every time. Hope this helps some.

I've been having the same problem with my 1.3 cable. EvoScan works just fine but I can't get ECU Flash to read my ECU. We tried the cable on a different car with a different laptop and it wouldn't read that ECU either. It all started after I downloaded the newest version of ECU Flash. It worked fine before with 1.34 and I tried to revert back to that version and it still doesn't work. LMK what you figure out.

I don't think this will necessarily be the solution, but did you try the

/usepmtimer

boot.ini fix?

Any updates on this? I am having the same issue, I can write, and log perfectly fine but cant read the rom??? I reverted back to v1.29 since I have the 1.3m cable. One other thing, everytime I connect my cable it installs the openport drivers, now while the cable is connected the drivers appear in the device manager but as soon as I disconnect the cable they dissappear?? Is this supposed to happen? Am I supposed to have the cable connected when I install ecuflash?

Ok so my problem I guess was a little different, its fixed now. All my read templates for some reason were in the wrong spot so ecuflash wasnt accessing them and so when I hit the read from ecu I got this:

All better now though now that I moved the read template folder where it needs to be I can now select a car and download my rom thanks guys
