I meant in the data.xml file. What line entry should be made in order for EvoScan to log the MUTs?

Look on the first post of the original Tephra V7 thread. Go down to phenems post and you will see the xml to add to evoscan.

Keep in mind that appauldd has changed some of the mut requests in his 94170715 release from what came with tephras.

Some of tephra's muts are not working in the 94170715.

Thanks for the info on the evoscan stuff.

I have no issues with 9653 other than the stationary rev limit/nlts/rev limit so I want to stick with it plus the new 9417 ROM seems to have more issues than the 9653 and its still not fully defined.

I have the same issues w/ nlts; not sure about rev limit. I've used both the newer base XML and an older version I had (that worked w/ 9417) and neither solved the issue. I'm sticking to 9653 as I've had good luck w/ it and any issues were fairly easy to resolve.

Still can't work out the EvoScan .xml entries to allow EvoScan to log MUT00 and 01. Here is what I have in my data.xml file:

<DataListItem DataLog="N" Color="" Display="MUT00" LogReference="MUT00" RequestID="00" Eval="x" Unit="" MetricEval="" MetricUnit="" ResponseBytes="1" GaugeMin="0" GaugeMax="3000" ChartMin="0" ChartMax="3000" ScalingFactor="1"

<DataListItem DataLog="N" Color="" Display="MUT01" LogReference="MUT01" RequestID="01" Eval="x" Unit="" MetricEval="" MetricUnit="" ResponseBytes="1" GaugeMin="0" GaugeMax="3000" ChartMin="0" ChartMax="3000" ScalingFactor="1"

I keep getting this error when I try and open EvoScan:

"Error xml setting: Name cannot begin with the '<' character, hexadecimal value 0x3C. Line 31, position 2". I checked through the .xml entry but, can't seem to figure out what that message is referencing.

From the above example you are missing the closing tags "/>" each xml dataitem needs to begin with a "< " and close with a "/>"

As far as some of the mut issues, I have tried to get an answer with no success. Either the code is not in the 94170015 and 94170715 or the addresses are wrong. I have started down the dark road of dissasembly to find out some answers. I would hope that tephra would chime in.

I also noticed things like the scaling for the map sensor is set for gm and not jdm in the 94170715 issued by appauldd. Not a big deal but I could not figure out why my gear boost tables would not go above 22 psi. Changes the scaling and bingo the 24+ psi limit was there. Yes I am aware that you can change the boost adder to up this limit.

I never said that 9417 would be perfect.....I was in hopes that you all could help me make it perfect like we did with 9653.....Remember it had a ton of "issues" when it was first posted too. So....for me I have everything working well with 9417 v7....while 9653 v7 has rev limit issues.

Scaling is all in the setup for your specific application. I made sure to have all of the scaling definitions for situations just like yours. Consider that part of tuning for your specific application.

Back to 9653 - I confirmed today that my rev limit and stationary rev limit is in fact working. The NLTS is not working though. Yes it is activated.

Tephra - what do u need logged to look into this? Still MUT 00 & 01?

Sounds like 9417 is just causing more work than really necessary. 9653 has been out now for sometime and alot of peopel are running it with little to no issues. I'd rather see efforts put into ironing out the small kinks in 9653 than go down a slippery slope in developing a new universal 9417 unless someone can show me the benefits of developing 9417 to the level 9653 is at currently.

I disagree 94170715 or 015 V 7 are working fine. The only issue I can find is a few minor (1 byte gear, and the specialized airflow) MUT requests. The rom is much easier to set up than the 9653. No throttle hang problem. So far all the tephra mods and 2 step are working. My idle is much smoother than 9653. Don't let my observations deter.

The proof is in the pudding. If either works then by all means go with it. Personally I a really glad that we have the 941 rom to use. Thanks for your efforts.

^ Thanks. It works great for me too. And, yes it was much easier to get it going. As with any new rom...there is going to be a few little things that will need to be resolved.

Back on topic.

So has anyone found a cure for 9653 rev limits not working ? ? ? Is it only the 03s that are having this issue???

Mine is a '03... The only thing not working with the 9653 is the NLTS.

As far as the 9417 ROM, I downloaded it the other day and there weren't many things available yet. Has a newer version been released since?

Oh yes....there is a ton more stuff. The only things missing now is the advanced ISCV demand stuff and a few misc. tables that were newer finds that I was hoping to bring into 9417.

My stationary rev limiter does not work with 96530706 V7. It was working fine with 94170715 V7 . I have my launch map disabled, and it seems it is the only difference with chmodlf's setting regarding sutffs that might affect the stationary rev limit. I didn't have a chance to check whether it works with launch map enabled yet. It is a hard decision whether I should use 94170715 V7 (gear base boost control not working yet) or 96530706 V7 (some minor issues like rev limit, idle, fueling). It would be the best if gear based boost control works on 94170715 V7.
