Ok. Then it must be my grounding then. Or may be I need a voltage stabilizer. I know I need something.....Thx anyway.

Hi clck and GregM.
You both helped me get a working XML for my friend's 80700009 Airtrek.
Now we're have the exact same issue when turning up boost. We use 95 RON down here. For the life of me i don't know where the timing are coming from. I have the exact same scaling issues with the XML with most map going from 180 to 260. Change the elements to 19 and rescaling them to 260 brings on massive amounts of knock.

how do i perform the following?
You're not seeing 2 byte load
Change Address loc'n:
33A7C from FFFF696B to FFFF6A36
33A9C from FFFF696A to FFFF6A37
You should not have to rescale your load axis, they are already upto 260. I'm using the same rom version.
Change to these setting:
<table name="Ignition Map 1" address="3b9b">
<table name="Engine Load" address="5f22" elements="19"/>
<table name="RPM" address="5eca" elements="18"/>
</table>

<table name="Ignition Map 2" address="3cfd">
<table name="Engine Load" address="5f22" elements="19"/>
<table name="RPM" address="5eca" elements="18"/>
</table>

Open NOTEPAD.EXE
Locate and open the following file:

C:\Program Files\OpenECU\EcuFlash142\rommetadata\mitsubishi\a irtrek\80700009.xml
You can either copy n paste or simply replace the array size, xy-axis addresses and scaling.

I downloaded GregM XML and changed everything from 8990010 to 89970009. That seem to work out great with the exception of the hi/low ignition map for N,1,2 which was just missing a the column value (19 in this case).

Editing the ROM with a hex editor was a different kettle of fish.
changing :
33A7C from FFFF696B to FFFF6A36
was easy but
I could not find FFFF696A @ 33A9C.

If you're using hex editor, then change from address location starting 33a7c to:

FF FF 6A 36 FF FF 6A 37

Sorry my bad, second location address should b 33A80

Did it using the MUT table. Still no 2Byte load logging with evoscan 2.7 final. On the up side, no more massive knock with the onset of Boost. Actually had to add timing to get ride of most of the knock. The AFRs are worring the $hit out of me though. I keep caring them up and my wide band drops to 10 (the lower limit) once the turbo begins to spool. The lowest AFR on the 3-4-5 gear hi-octane map is 12!

You can get knock with no enough timing, so that makes sense having to increase it.

As for 2 byte load, the variables I posted may just not work with your rom, even thou everything else looks pretty good.

Are Both your High Octane maps the same?

For now yes. I suspect I can get more aggressive with the N-1-2 maps.

Target AFR 12 to get wideband reading of 10 ?!
Its either u didn't scale your injector correctly or boost leak.

The value in the fuel map just tells the ecu how much to open the injector. Its not suppose to match the actual AFR. My 1100 cc injectors are set in the low 12's in the map to achieve 10.8 on max boost, and they are scaled correctly!! With the 12 in the map, the IDC is at 50%, so roughtly an value of 12 in the map will produce about 50% IDC for any injector, therefore a smaller injector will require a lower value in the map to achieve the same AFR as a larger injector.

As for setting injectors, my Scaling is 975 and my trims are very close to 0.

ecktt, what size injectors are they?

Stock 424cc injectors. The only mod this Airtreck has is a BoV. I just assumed that the injectors and MAF were scaled correctly. Next time i'll log LFT and MFT. I'll also check for boost leaks.

So far, its making 200whp (up from the stock 175 on virtualdyno) with 17lb boost and 91oct. Am I on track wit this output?

Vitural dyno isn't accruate for the Airtrek, I couldn't get reliable readings from it.

I wouldn't have expected you needing a 12 in your fuel map to get a 10AFR with factory injectors. I don't have much time at the moment, but send me a log and your rom and I'll have a look at it.
