After more testing, I think that my front o2 really is dead. Damn it.

Could that explain high idle?

Man, that sensor does not look fun to replace.

What is your base xml for the 94170715? I recently found that it has the incorrect info for MAT.

im running into this same issue. the log shows MAT stuck at 195.8F. I tried logging 11 and i get 35 F and it stays there. i triple checked the pin at the ecu and it is correct.

I noticed that the xml for the 94170015 for MAT logging has different xml definitions for the MAT sensor than what is in the xml for 94171715. why would this be?

You mean TephraMOD-94170715-v7.xml? I haven't change it.

Are you saying that will effect the 94171715 speed density ROM? What needs to be changed?

I attached the revised 94171715 v7 option 3 XML. You can either use that or change the MAT in your current folder to this one. See how the car drives after that.

See post 66. Once you use the xml i posted and add open the mrfred 94170015 iat patch settings to your current "hex" or "bin" ...you should have the correct temp.

Awesome. Thank you very much. I know I keep telling you, but I really appreciate it!

I'm going to see if the dealer has an O2 sensor in stock tomorrow. Right now I'm kind of waiting on that, I guess.

Thanks!

New O2 sensor is working well.

Stock ROM, stock MAP. Car's still idling at 2k RPMs.

No boost leaks. Throttle cable is adjusted properly. I can tighten the BISS up all the way and it still idles high.
FIAV bad? I can't think of anything else.

Try to get your hands on a IACV. Check with Mil.Spec on the forums

How much was the o2 sensor?

O2 sensor was listed at $374 at the dealer. It was going to be over 300 with my discount. I said to hell with that.
Mitsu part number is mn153010. OEM is Denso. Found a denso part number cross reference. Bought sensor 234-4741 for $101 at bond auto. Works well, fit well.

Alright, so here's what I did today.
Had OMNI and SD ROM installed.
Cold engine.
Swapped stock MAP on.
Unhooked battery ground for about 5 minutes to do hard reset.
Flashed OEM 94170008 ROM back on
unhooked battery ground for a few more minutes
Started evoscan log.
started engine

The idle just climbs and climbs. It was pretty consistent until about sample 519 in the log where idle started climbing (I blipped throttle and brought RPM up just to make this point in the log easy to find)
After this, the idle keeps climbing until it's idling at about 2300 RPM by the end of the log.

Also in the attached zip file is a second log. I was playing with the idle switch. It stays at "1" most of the time. Even if I rev the engine up to like 4k RPM with light throttle. I assume that's just something "smart" the ECU is doing..? When I let off of the throttle suddenly, idle switch goes to 0, RPMs drop back down to 2k, and then maybe 3-5 seconds later idle switch returns to 1.

If the FIAV was stuck, wouldn't it just always idle high? Or would it idle higher as temp went up?
If the ISC was bad, why would it idle lower at first and then climb and climb? Could I unplug it so that it can't move with cold engine and see if idle climbs?

Bad iacv doesn't have a pattern... Remove your throttle body and check for carbon build up before buying a new iacv

I removed the throttle body. It wasn't real dirty. Removed the IACV and it was nice and clean. Cleaned out the throttle body with carb cleaner (was careful not to get it down towards FIAV). Started car up, same issue. Still idling ~2k RPM
