One really helpful thing I've found for tuning is to add an item to my evoscan logs, that has [widebandaf]-[afrmap], and then that way I can view that in map tracer. When the value is negative, that means the actual is lower than the expected. So, I just decrease the ve at that range. This is all done in open loop ofcourse, and you have to never let the engine "brake" as far as leaving it in gear while slowing down, or it throws the numbers off.

I kept running into issues with those parts of the logs throwing off my numbers. The #1 thing that helped me was getting the car into the area where it was off, then starting the log for 10 sec and try to hold a steady rpm/speed, then turn the log off. Then get to another point that was off and do it again. Afterwards, I would have several logs that were specific to a certain RPM/kPA and I would just adjust as needed. That way I didnt have to filter out the bad data that would throw the averages off.

I updated to the new air temp scalings, activated fix #5 and #6 while having #1, #2 and #3 also activated from before, and i felt a good improvment.
i was getting a consistant hicup crusing at 3k rpm, probably every 60-120 seconds.
now, it only did it a few times on my way to work (20miles).

however, i will say the stutter's frequency on my car was dependant on the outside temperature.

Oh, this may not help you guys at all...but I get no hiccups what so ever...like, none. I run a totally different engine than you guys obviously, but same 9417 rom...which one are you guys hiccuping on?

I cruise at 2750 RPM, sometimes up to 3k

Installed the 8859 rom last night.....

cut and pasted my tune over.....

and WTF!

all the old issues i had before are gone....drives like a new car now.

Logged a few 18psi (safe) runs to ck tune..no knocks. Seriously is it that easy....glad it is. Going to a dyno soon to tune 91 and E-85..shouldnt take long halfway there now.

can someone help me understand what to change in the TPS delta tables?

the car is getting lean when i take off.

I already changed the RPM version, and that made a difference, but not enough.

I, on my different engine, did not need to adjust accel enrich. I had to use the "accel enrichment (incorrect)" values from my original rom, but the TPS delta stuff, didn't require my touch. How are the fuel trims?

The OBDII Inspection stuff in this rom (9417 variant) doesn't match the "stock settings" or "forced pass". Should I be afraid to change it either direction, because it could be used by something else? Like, speed density related or anything?

*edit* roadspike tells me. "No"

I am getting my car tuned up right now, but it's more difficult for me to understand than typical tuning. RoadSpike told me not to try and match my loads to what I had on MAF, since my engine isn't an evo, so the load of 150% was really not that high, just basically the MAF sensor making me feel like the engine was working that hard (SOHC doesn't pull air in as easily). Instead, I am just using the kpa 2 load, basically as is, and fitting my timing to that curve I see.

So, here's my Q now. I have the map reasonably smooth (3d ve), but over 3k rpm in lower loads, I still go too rich. I don't want to adjust kpa2load, for fear it will throw off the lower RPM values of that same KPA....so do I just continue to adjust 3d VE until it's all kosher? I am tuning almost all the time in open loop by setting load to 10 for the threshold, so I can see exactly what the car is doing vs what it wants to do. Thoughts?

Did you ever get this figured out?

TPS Delta is the amount of fuel added when the TPS changes, though I don't know what the left side scaling is (life if 1 means 10% throttle increase or something else). So, if it's lean when you press lightly, but not when you press hard, or vice versa, then you'll just have to find the right value that effects that area of TPS punch.

So what is the best combo for the jitter issue currently?
Jitter test 3 and 4, and the modded warmup table?

Was wondering if anyone is running this, along with the closed loop afr patch from MRFred?
https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ec...o2-system.html

Just curious if this patch works even though the fuel table no longer has afr numbers in it.

anyone dealt with a hot start issue yet?

Initial Cranking IPW vs Coolant Temp
Cranking IPW Compensation vs Time

would these tables help?
