I have been experimenting with both the 3d sd and the 2d. With both I have lean tip-in issues that I cannot resolve by playing with the TPS Delta tables. Playing with the fuel MAP and VE tables doesn't seem to help either.

I have my MAP sensor located at the end of a long hose (it is actually in the cabin) and I am wondering if this is the issue. What do you guys think?

I didn't think it would be an issue as there are some SD ECUs that have the MAP sensor built on to the board.

What would you use the baro vs kPa to tune?

What he said ^

...Is this necessary?

I'm using the 941 variant and I don't' have this issue when I use the 2D version of SD
I can't figure out why my map is sooo rich? The log doesn't match my actual tune according to what I see in ecu flash

The car won't even start its so rich.

Any help would be very appreciated!!!

What load are you seeing when you quickly punch the throttle at 0psi of boost?

Without the car started it doesn't move and I can't start it because it bogs out rich. So I thought about this more and incase the load evo scan displays was not correct I check it against my timing map and it does line up with the load and RPM, odd.

SO I looked at every possible map in that area and they are no where near that rich. I'm really stumped. ??????

Also I'm running 100% open loop (long story)

Ok I figured it out it was a units issue with the Map Sensor kPa table.

I've said it once and I'll say it again, some of these units do not make sense, especially the scaling you can switch to.

This is a huge thanks again to RoadSpike, he helped me understand this before. So with that note;

RoadSpike whats your paypal address? I owe you, and if I ever see you in person I'm buying you a beer as well! You are the Cats Pajamas

Putting in a request to get a SD 2.0 for one of two roms: JDM evo IX 8857 map sensor factory) or 8858 ADM no map sensor from the factory: There is a 88586714(DMA SD 2.0) but there seemed to be some problems with the DMA that Donner had encountered and I have no ability to do DMA cause I have an op2.0 and he needs development for that yet. AFAIK there is only like 3-4 minor differences in the JDM rom vs the USDM and all evo IX roms will run any IX. I have had 8858 running on 8859.

8858 would be my first pick of ix roms to have sd2.0 with out DMA if possible.

For some reason I can´t open any of the SD 2.0 roms in the first page, I get "Unknown Rom Image" message. I can view all of V7 roms and have tephra xml´s as well. Wanted to take a look at the 941 version. Any clues? I´m using Ecuflash 1.42 latest version.

Has anyone experienced a loss in spool up since converting to SD?
I've tried to keep most things equal to my MAF tune (same timing map, afr's about the same etc.) but the car seems to be spooling up a couple hundred rpm's slower.
I'm doubting its a boost leak since I just recently did a test, plus this was all in the same day. Do you guys see a difference in spool?

You are possibly not using the same cells in your load when spooling, so your tune is off. Double check and make sure you get the same AFR AND timing than before. Like some other threads says, low timing, between 12-13 AFR are what many evo like's the best.
I tried many combinations and I don't like them. High timing at spool up yeld some more snap but the turbo's won't come so fast, resulting in less overall torque.
