2.3ltr High Idle
2.3ltr High Idle
Hey Guys,
Just asking about when people built a 2.3ltr was there idling alot higher?
Since my 2.3ltr build my idle has been about 1250 when it was the 2.0ltr it was around 1050
Now im just going to adjust it down a little but i just wanted to see if anyone else experienced this.
Also for me i have never been able to control idle through my V7 adjusting the ISCV tables ends up changing the idle for about 3 days then it just returns back to where it was, so i will have to adjust it with the BISS like last time and adjust the start tables to get rid of the starting issues when you move the BISS

edit,
heres a video of it idling when it was a 2.0ltr
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PaKcRRR3Dns
And here it is currently 2.3ltr

It also running heaps more Vacuum now its idling at about 14inhg where as before it was around 10-11
Im running 10 degrees of timing, do you think maybe going to 5 will bring the idle down a little too?

Lowering the timing will lower idle a bit... When you moved the Biss screw did you do it with the SAS setting in Evoscan? Turn on SAS the set the Biss to where the car Idles around 800rpm. Turn the car of, then turn the car on and let idle for 15min. What is your target idle set at.

Target idle is set to 1050rpm
Im running MAF
Last time i wasnt able to get the car into SAS mode so i just adjusted the BISS then adjusted the Starting Fuel so it started ok again
I read somewhere else that ill need to take some ISCV steps out going to 2.3ltr as the volume of air has increased with the displacement

Also i do no that the target idle tables dont mean ****, its there to throw a cell if its goes a certain percentage above or below that,
So basically the only way to adjust idle is with the ISCV Netral AC Off
