So I got some new injectors hooked up. I want to start dialing them in. I tried to read my rom from my ecu. The very first time I tried to get it, I got the error mesage that it was an unrecognized rom. I shut it all down, reconnected it, now I get basically a bse evo 9 rom. I had tephra v7 when I was tuned 4 weeks ago from Devin at Boostin. Shouldnt I see the tephra options? I have the user level at the highest to see if they would come up then, but still nothing?

Why cant I get it to read my ACTUAL tuned rom??

I searched, but only found info about not being able to read a rom. period. Mine reads one, but its like the wrong one, maybe?

Do you have the tephra mod xml?

 

This. Make sure you have the V7 xml in your ecuflash roms folder.

 

^+1 and you also will need to put evo 7 base map read template in your romedata so you can read the rom from your 8

 

I do not. I thought I had found it earlier. I downloaded it, and then moved it into the ecuflash folder. I tried opening it and it said it wasnt found. i am tryin to understand all this stuff, but I am a former dsm guy. Link was very straight forward lol.

I am hoping Devin will just email me the rom for my car he tuned. A part of me wants to get it all going myself though.

Got a link to the correct rom? Now, once I get this rom into the ecu, will ecuflash then recognize it and all my settings will come up?

 

even if your tuner sends you your rom, you won't be able to open it/ see it/ tweak it/ unless you put said xml in the right folder: program files/ openecu/ ecuflash/ rommetadata/ mitsubishi/ evo.

 

Hmm, ok, I will have to give this a try in the morning. So once I load the v7 xml in the evo folder, then read from ecu again, it should pop up then?

 

I must have put the tephra xml in the right folder. I got the map from my tuner this morning and sent it to the ecu. I can see all the tephra options.
