I just got a 2005 MR and the owner before me used ecu flash. Yesterday the intercooler piping that connects to the manifold came off under high boost. I tighten the piping and now when I drive the car makes almost no boost compared to the 1.5 bar it was making. Do I need to disconnect the battery to reset it?? Any suggestions??

 

Do a boost leak test

 

Checked that no boost leak, all connections good as well

 

Are there any cels?

Boost leak is coming up ok. I was running it kinda hard when this happened. Either the MBC is messued up (highly doubt), messed up the turbo, or cracked the exhaust manifold. I am smelling alittle bit of exhaust under the hood. Its still has stock manifold cover on it and everything

 

Are you doing an actual boost leak test, using a tester and compressor?

 

Is the waste gate acuator functioning correctly? Maybe in limp mode ?

 

Went to my buddies house who builds dsms, we did a proper boost leak throttle shaft seals FTL lol. I feel stupid that I didn't find it myself. Thanks guys for all the suggestions I appreciate it
