New EVODROID7 EvoScan Android GPS/Logger/Reflashing CarPC Touchscreen Review
Hamish, I was one of the initial wave to recieve my EvoDroid. One of my kids was messing around with my device and uninstalled my app. I sent you an email about a week ago asking for a link to the apk but have not heard back yet.
Actually it is, because if you dont hard shut it down the next time you power it up... evoscan wont be able to read the obd2port and will require you to close evoscan wait for the cable to disconnect and then relaunch evoscan. So no it's very clunky and not at all user friendly.
Again, that can be dealt with an app such as Tasker or a similar app to that. It's really not that big of a deal. Plus the device goes on standby mode once power has been cut off from it, causing the screen to go black. It doesn't shut off the device, but in standby mode, I've noticed that the battery will go for more than 24 hours.

Faisalm is likely closing the app as shown in the EvoDroid7 youtube video I made.
To close the app is not just pressing X. on android you will need to click the running apps icon, and swipe it away to close it. http://www.wikihow.com/Close-Apps-on-Android

Hi Hotrod, sorry about that, yes I do remember reading that one about your kids, I thought I replied. I get about 100-160 emails a day about Mitsubishi questions, resend the email I am sure to get it.
So hitting the home button, then the menu button, then the app button then swiping it closed is supposed to be less clunky then hitting the X? If that isn't the definition of clunky I dont know what is. Ps it still doesn't shut off with key/power off.

Hi Hotrod, emailed you the apk, and emailed you the email address and evodroid7 serial number again. If you are installing the apk on a new android device or factory reset one, don't forget to connect the wifi first, so that it can download the latest gauge templates and xml files.
Cheers,
Hamish.

Just received my Evodroid and I love it. I have a few questions though, in evoscan I had to change my injector scaling due to my bigger injectors. Any info on how to do this? Also, how do I program alarms? Thanks in advance!
Glad you love it Possum... I too personally am amazed at the pure speed of the new Evodroid7, my code runs a lot faster now. Sometimes so fast I can't see it loading anymore. I'll send you some instructions via email how to change the injector scaling.
After speaking with many android developers, they all say it is impossible.. It turns out that google/android does not authorize the DEVICE_POWER api to any apps. so I will continue to do the impossible. wouldn't be the first time with this project.
there is a minimum wait time of 15seconds no activity hardcoded into the operating system before it can turn off after the key is switched off.. that could work.. I would prefer 3 seconds. but 15 seconds is a good start.
I am setting up a new webpage for evodroid7 updates, like I had with the gpsnav page.

I have received also my evodroid, and although it seems a very well device, I had no time (yet) to play with it... I am expecting to check it in a few days. I would like also some instructions how to change some scales, how to modify XML in order to read afr through ecu as I do with evoscan, and if possible how to create some gauge templates. of course it is quite easy to search (when you have internet) but for me as i serve in a vessel at the moment some instructions will be more than helpful...
I really was impress by the product!

I have now put two in my car.. one in the double din slot to replace the stereo with an Amp, and one on my A-Pillar for logging.
I will take some videos of my setup.
