Help connecting with Ecuflash

I need some help with Ecuflash. I am new to stock ecu stuff and I can’t get my laptop to connect for the life of me.

I have tried the newest version as well as 1.29a
I left the car on a charger all night
EVOlutionary brought his laptop over that he uses on his evo 9
I uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers
I tried Ecu unlocker

Did I miss anything?

Did Evolutionary's laptop connect and yours didn't?

If that's the case did you purchase the liscensing agreement for ecuflash when you pruchased the cable?

If you didn't you can use Evoscan to read/flash, that's what I do.

It also seems as though you're missing a pin. In the pic you have 6, I just went out to me car and mine has 7 pins in it.

Neither of our laptops could connect to Ecuflash.

The cable is EVOlutionary's, It works on his car which is an Evo 9 so I'm unsure about the pinouts if it was the same for an 03

In my car one of the pins in the obd2 connector was alittle loose. Works fine now when it is bypassed. (waiting for some new pins)
You could also bench test your ecu with powering it up and connect wires from the 1.3 cable directly to the ecu to eliminate bad wires and/or pins. Be careful not to shorten any of the wires.
Does it work with Evoscan?

Can anyone confirm that this is the right cable for an 2003 EVO?

I think it is the wrong cable, I'll snap a pic of mine tonight and post it. Like I said before, you're missing a pin on the odbII plug and it looks as if there are 3 wires into the back of the reflash cable, there should only be one.

my tactrix openport 1.3 cable only has 5 pins on the obdii part (does not have the lower right corner pin you show in the pic) and does have the same 3 pins on the flash connector plug.
I purchased my cable when they originaly came out. I use it with ECUflash 1.42 and Evoscan 2.9 on a 03.

(forgive the dirty floor)Here is what my cable looks like. The only portion of the reflash cable that connects is the lower left connection.
