Make sure both connectors are plugged into the car.

If the car is cold and temperature is cold, you won't be able to reflash as the battery voltage will be too low. The ECU needs 12.0v to allow the ECU to be reflashed. Try turning off the radio and heater and see if that frees up enough juice to be able to flash. Otherwise you need to warm up the car a bit, after which you'll be able to.

Ok, going to ask a dumb question...I'm only plugged into the odbII port. Should I have somethig else plugged in?

Yes, you should have 2 connectors plugging into the car. One into the OBDII port, and one in the plug right next to it (generally referred to as the reflash connector)

Well, that explains it. I thought it was for ONLY uploading to the ECU. I will connect and read it when I get off work today and get the ROM file to you to review for me. Thanks for the help BTW. This shop screwed me hard on this. Lesson learned about taking my car to a shop that claims they know everything. Hopefully I can get this all squared away.

This shop is a "fail" since the beginning of the thread.

I usually try to give people the benefit of the doubt but this one came back to bite me....plain and simple. I called his person cell, the owner, and had a moment of pure anger on his voicemail and today he left me a message wanting me to call so he can revisit the tune and so forth. At this point, I dont want to waste my time or gas driving an hour away to this shop.

Holy sea of 8's batman...

What fuel are you on? On anything other than race gas/E85 I'd say that tune is borderline dangerous.

Oh and I hope you aren't using alt-maps, because those are even worse than the main maps.

I would be afraid of having that tune. I highly recommend you get into contact with any of the remote tuners on this site. That appears to be a ticking time bomb running that kind of timing.

This is BS. Don't go back to this tuner he'll ruin your engine. Talk to one the tuners on EvoM, they all have good reviews.

Well now Im nervous as hell. He said it was in the conservative side too. The air fuel map he gave me with the dyno chart seemed decent...but maybe the map is bs. Im running on 93 octane. So I made 321 awhp, or so since he gave me three different graphs and they all vary in power, and my car is tuned totally wrong? If it were cleaned up would it make more power and run smoother? I would assume so but figured I would ask.

The timing map is very harsh and obviously randomised without any tuning/feedback. Make yourself a favor and contact a tuner on EvoM..
The fuel map, hard to say without a log.

What fuel are you running?

He had told me when I was there it was a fight with the timing. He said he had to keep upping the timing bc the misfire code, bc of the cams, was causing the timing to retard and he couldnt figure out how to stop it.

Im running 93 octane.

Where did he learn to blindly raise the timing to solve a misfire issue?
Good luck with your new tuner. Sorry for your loss of time and money.
