ECUFlash Issue

Today I started having an issue with ECUFlash where it freezes up when I try to read the file off of my ECU. I tried multiple times with the same result. It doesn't freeze at the same point each time either. Sometimes at 5% read, sometimes at as much as 90% read but I couldn't get it to pull the file.

I tried a different ECU and the same thing happens. For the hell of it I tried to flash a different ROM onto the ECU and it hung. I then made a small change to the original ROM and flashed it and it worked but I still cannot read the ROM back off of the ECU.

Evoscan datalogs fine and the car starts fine without any error codes.

The car has been parked for sometime so I don't know if the car is the issue. The only other thing is that the computer was changed from Windows 7 to Windows 10 recently. I have tried compatibility mode to correct any issues here but that hasn't changed anything. Also re-installed ECUFlash.

I am using a Tactrix 2.0 and ECUFlash 143.30. It was a beta but i have been using it for literally 4 years or so without any issues. I am wondering if I should install the latest version of ECUFlash.

Let me know if anyone has any insight.

Thanks.

I'm on the latest release running win 8.1, no issues. Whats the Battery like on your car, if it's been parked some time? Could be that, or could be the old release of ECUflash your using with win 10. Either way, hope you figure it out.

Battery is probably a little bit to flat. Try sticking your battery on a charger and having another go. This happens to me all the time.

Sorry, forgot to say that I tried it also with a charger connected to the car battery.

I doubt you're locked out but you can give EcuUnlocker a shot.
Just leave it open with ecuflash

Tried that too.

I suspect it is a compatibility issue with Windows X. Have downloaded 1.44 but haven't gotten to try it yet.
