emission state inspection cal id
2006 EVO IX USDM , 5Speed that has Unmodified ROM 88590015
Cal.Verf.Number: CVN1 : 78 6B 70 7B
CAL.ID: 1860A465CC
If people can post their car year: ROM # , CVN , CALID. for this information gathering would be nice. we can try to crack the codes and get another step ahead. This can be for any EVO 8, 9 ,X
If someone else wants to check their CVN for 88590015 is the same as across, or is this number different and vehicle specific?
Also I will be testing all 4 ROM's for USDM 2006 EVO IX to check if the CVN changes. and posting my results back here.
88590013: (will this be AA?)
88590014: (will this be BB?)

Does anyone know what I can do to get my Immo system working again? The immo code was lost when the previous owner reflashed the ECU. Do I need a MUT? New ECU? I'm at my wit's end with this thing. I'm in the San Diego area if anyone has a MUT or knows someone who can help. Willing to compensate for time/tool rental.
I'm running a 88590015 and my CVN is E30DCBC2. I am running the immo bypass so that may be why it's off, though. If I have some time I'll load a completely stock '15 and '16 to check those CVN's.

I was lucky because I never had the recall reflash done before, so I had them reflash back about 6 weeks ago. I got my immobilizer code back under recall. I don't know of any other way to get your code back, so you may have to pay the dealer if you don't have the recall option.
Unfortunately my car had the ECU reflashed under the recall in Aug 2016, so I doubt I can do the same but I'll ask. Were you running the immobilizer bypass? Even if you weren't, I doubt the dealership pulled your tune to see what it was. They must have a way of knowing what it is either by the VIN or the MUT.
My tune had immobilizer turned off and the value on tune was not the correct code. The first tuner supposedly saved my oem tune in his laptop but then, his laptop was stolen out of his car so it was lost within 6 months. Dealer looks up your VIN and can get your immobilizer code, but I think they charge $150 to do that and reflash your ecu back to stock. Call around at different dealers and see which will do it cheapest. Make sure you have stock injectors and sensors when you get it restored.
Reflash yourself is definitely the cheapest and easiest but i just got off the phone from my Ref APPT. and they said they need proof it was done like a invoice, Now im gonna go out on a limb and say there's no way any tuning shop will put their name on that invoice and definitely can't make your own invoice, so it seems the dealer is the only way to prove it
If it was me, I would argue with them about it. Their policy clearly states owners can make their own repairs. I would ask them what kind of evidence they want from me under the context of me doing my own repairs. They can get on a zoom call with me and I'll screen share as I flash the ecu if they want
screen shots w/e. I can understand folks not wanting to make any waves though.

I just passed the smog referee with the above CALID and CVN. Seems like what EV09AWD posted is accurate and there's only one CALID and CVN per ROM version. I'm not sure if the ref is looking for one specific ROM version for each car or if it's a "match-any" situation. If you are unsure, I would check to see if your car ever had the ECU ROM recalls to see what ROM ID your car should have (88590015, 88590016) then check the CALID and CVN with a bluetooth OBD2 scanner and OBD scanner app (CarySys, etc.) before going in to the referee. That's a sure sign if your car will pass. It's a bit tougher if you fail the referee inspection because you will need to submit invoices and screenshots of the readiness monitors(can be found on bluetooth app) for a retest.
Anyways, I appreciate the help in here and I hope this helps anyone else that is trying to pass.
