I got a tactrix cable. If you get a tune anywhere, we can hold up the tactrix and pay TTP $50 to check it and fix it up.

Saw a Blue IX on Vogelweh yesterday.. ? ANyone know who it is..?

To contribute to the tune.. from my understanding most tunes done in the states are oriented towards the 1/4 mile..! I also heard about the guy who's head gasket blew due to his tune shortly after arriving into country... His tune wasn't really set up to be driving at such high loads for a long as time.. as we do here on the autobahn and so she blew.

I would suggest retuning once you are here as its different gas, and diff elevation. There is a guy in Frankfurt "Just Solutions" Parts vendor for Buschur Racing. He offers tuning service as well and his pretty good.. he has a 600AWHP Evo 7 Himself on a 35R from Buschur. He did an amazing job tuning my Evo for top End but.. retuning from your current tuner is fine.. jus discuss the fact that you will be going triple digits on a daily basis.. that depends on you of course.. I just got back from Vilseck yesterday and trust me I was in a hurry coming back.. nothing like going 7800RPMS on 6th Gear for like 5 mins.. lol..

The headgasket guy would be me. The headgasket blew on the Ring, not the autobahn. Still don't know what happened as the water pump was not the culprit. The local dealer suggested it may have been my radiator...he was getting low pressure readings...he later found out that the neck of the radiator was out of spec and so the radiator cap was not sealing properly. i have a Koyo radiator sitting in my basement ready to get installed.

As for the guy wanting to get low cost insurance, consider Geico. Saved a few $$$ for me.

All of which are taken into account when tuning. TTP-Engineering has tuned worldwide from Alaska and Greenland to the mountains in Chile on an FQ-360 or an island in Dominica or the heat of Dubai. All fuels from 87+meth to 90oct to 95RON, 98RON, racefuel, E85, ethanol or methanol. We have the experience to proficiently tune any Evo anywhere.

You guys will be retuning mine as soon as it gets here and gets its new tcase and clutch put in. This time I have the autobahn to log the whole RPM range unstead of a little back street in Korea. Damn near killed myself there trying to log 4th gear.

Question for service members. Alright I know the vehicle inspection laws changed since I was last there in 04. I am trying to sell my stock exhaust because my warranty will not carry over in Germany so I dont feel the need for a stock exhaust. I read somewere that the new law on exhaust is that it cant be over a certain Decibal. How do they test for it? I do have a silencer on my exhaust to quite it down but I dont want to sell my stock exhaust if I am going to need it for inspection over there if my exhaust doesnt pass. Last time I did a vehicle inspect in Vilseck when I was there the guy was cool and didnt really worry about to much, my old beaten up Opel I had till I got my BMW passed. So anyone with vehicle inspection currently can chime in would be cool.
